When the program began she got her son and me interviews.

I didn't know what an insurance adjuster was, but I cut my long hair, bought a suit and went to the interview. I was asked some questions and it was apparent that I knew nothing about auto body repairs.

At some point, I actually started to stand up and say "Thanks for your time" but the interviewer told me to relax. At the end of our meeting, he said they would contact me.

When I left, I realized that there was still a tag on the sleeve of my new suit. I assumed that the interviewer thought I was a dumb ass and doubted that I would get the job.

A couple days later I got a call and was told when to show up and start work.

So it was obvious to me that the VP had given orders from the get go to hire both me and my friend. When a VP or especially a CEO makes a suggestion, the people below them make it happen.
