I've been working at the same position as a security guard since I started back in early 2019. I've received pay raises every year, beginning the job at $18.50 per hour to $26.50 per hour where I'm currently at. I love my job; it's super-chill, relaxed, and only 2.8 miles from my apartment. I feel very blessed!

Theoretically. In reality, it is based on favouritism. Who the boss likes the most. In reality, I've reached pretty much as far as I can go, sadly.
