How much materials are worthless during your school years?

For instance having to memorize the exact steps towards dissecting a frog for an exam or doing 25 long math exercises about hyperbolas. What for? It's not like you're going to apply all that the future. That's not needed for basic daily tasks.

How much materials are actually worthless during our school years? Ever wonder if we wasted so much time at school, too much focus on getting good grades for nothing?

When I was in school I did not fully know what to expect from life.

Later on I found that what I hated most, now feeds me well.

And some other stuff is exciting, too, now. It was just that some teachers did their best to make it look boring.

I guess it can depend on how they teach too. If a teacher sounds robotic or is just reading from a book and giving you assignments, that's when you really wish that class was over already.

it is about chances... thousands will study, maybe a dozen will learn.. and one will be the genius smart ass that will make your basic daily tasks much easier

You're not being taught how to dissect a frog. You're being taught how to learn. Look at it through the eyes of an employer, if you can't learn how to dissect a frog then can he teach you how to do the job?
