Trending & News Not even close. I haven't followed professional jobs lately, but for the more visible jobs I'd call it an employees market right now. Companies are practically begging for employees. It might not be as good as the mid 90s, but it's probably the second best job market in my lifetime.
Google "Great Depression." Google "Great Recession" for that matter.
I have had some really really shitty times in the past (years ago) finding anything--let alone something decent. I am not saying that it's easy out there. I am not saying things are good. But, no. todays job market is measurably not the worst in history.
Easy to find a job here. Not good for America, Trump is slowly destroying that as well as trying to dismantle unemployment benefits in the process.
While today's job market faces challenges, such as economic fluctuations and technological disruptions, it's not necessarily the worst in history. Previous eras, like the Great Depression, had high unemployment and severe economic hardship. Today, new industries and remote work opportunities provide different options. Adapting to these changes through reskilling and continuous learning can help individuals navigate the evolving landscape. Actively seeking growth areas and staying informed can ease transitions in this dynamic job market. Remember, every era has its challenges, and opportunities often accompany them.
