Not even close. I haven't followed professional jobs lately, but for the more visible jobs I'd call it an employees market right now. Companies are practically begging for employees. It might not be as good as the mid 90s, but it's probably the second best job market in my lifetime.

I have had some really really shitty times in the past (years ago) finding anything--let alone something decent. I am not saying that it's easy out there. I am not saying things are good. But, no. todays job market is measurably not the worst in history.
