Do you feel undervalued as an employee?

Both yes and no.

Reasons why:

I did get a small supplement to my paycheck not long ago for the work I do, it was not much but appreciated.
I just finished a period where I was a counselor for a student during their internship - which shows that the ladies (leaders) approves of my work on the floor and my ability to connect practice with theory.
Not a long ago I managed to get a teen to accept being with us, who we questioned if we would be capable - big shoulder clap from the ladies there.

Reasons why not:

Lack of children; leadership blamed it shortly on the staff (and the time prior to me starting) and I was hit in the cross fire. When it change in law - structural and THEIR job to get children in when others leave.
Stressed out former leader, wasn't the best work environment and we did endure some unacceptable behaviour from them.
I'm a governmental employee - and they keep on taking funds from my field. The government tells us how important we are, that more "warm hands" are needed, yet our resources to provide that get worse and worse.

In a way yes Managment won't look past my disability. They treat me like I'm not important enough. Plus, not looking past my physical appearance likes my fault I was born with Cerebral palsy.

If i could own and operate the business i work for yes. The answer would be no because i work for a 300 billion dollar company and there is no way my life could have started it.
