Is sex education class still being offered today for teens? What’s a good one?

@thelovelywoman My experience tells me that children could be give the best sex education by their contemporary, liberal mother. My mother DID try, but she was not really equipped to do that. I do not know of any class, anywhere that could be offered as good'.

As a guy that had his first real sex education' through experience, I can tell you that is a real disaster in the making.

You sound like a liberal, informed woman/mother who should be capable of giving you teens a perfectly good sex education. My mother, however, was not. I had a cousin who was very liberal, and she was a good source of sex information for me as a very young teen (13- 14) You could find reference work in a good library, and use it as a supplement to any instruction. I would not depend on someone else or a class to give my teens sex education

Isn't this stuff taught in schools any more?

All you need to know is,
The penis goes in the vagina
Without contraception you will get pregnant
Use it wrong it will fail.
Condoms lower the std risk
Stuff like you can't get pregnant standing up or if you want a baby boy do it doggy style is always nonsense.

I don't even think it was being offered when I was in school. So I doubt for the majority it is but it probably needs to with all the stds floating around and even though teen pregnancies are a lot lower than they ever were, they are still very much prevalent.

As a 4th grader, I got a video day with question and answers about puberty. Health class as a Freshman taught some basic Sex Ed, but most of what I learned as a teen came from friends and the internet

Apart from STI avoidance, there isn't much to be taught. Choose partners thoughtfully. Women can contraceve themselves. Class dismissed.
