What Sex Education should be Taught in Schools?

Even 9 year old children are being taught about Transgender Identity etc. What is your opinion on sex education in schools?

Do you think children and young people should be taught about Gender Identities, Gay Relationships etc. in schools.

Educate young people at school about just sexual relationships between males and females, because the teachers find normal sexual relationships difficult to teach never mind other types of relationships.

Honestly most kids do not need it taught at all. In my understanding these are two different topics though. You can teach them in the environments they make sense.

Sex Ed is about safe sex. Gender identity, while important, is not important for sex being or not being safe. So how is this at all relevant? Teach it in the human rights portion instead.

Honestly my sex educatiol was fantastic. We had a fairly young, mid-upper 20s teacher handle it. She had had one relationship. Went on a random tangent about how to eat out a girl with tips for everyone. It was fun. The most embarrassed and awkward person was the teacher. We were like... 13? We already knew this stuff anyway.

I think it should be the responsibility of parents, and not schools, to teach about sex. It is a subject that cannot be taught without injecting some definite sociopolitical values, and I do not want public schools to be given opportunities to indoctrinate susceptible young minds.

I agree, but the problem with that is parents don't want to take the responsibility, so basic good sex education is required, not what the schools are trying to teach.

School systems can prepare video lessons so that parents can see what is being shown to their kids, and the school should direct kids to ask their parents if they have questions. I don't trust 22 year old leftists to be teaching this topic to kids.

I thought sex education was only about protection to not get pregnant? That's literally the only sex ed I had in my middle school. They taught us to not have sex as it was the best ways to not get pregnant or if we could not handle ourself back then they said to use the pills and condom, I never had any gay or trans stuff being taught. I was 12 when I was sex ed.

The VAST majority of Americans would answer B. It's only the fringe minority who are pushing the trans stuff and gender ideology on everyone. This is one of the key issues that cost dems the Whitehouse and both chambers in 2024.

I was taught sex ed in the fourth grade. It made me want to experiment at a young age.

Uptil 15 years of age I was asked where I thought babies came from when I was 6 years old, and that was my sex education. Later we were given some inadequate sex education on males and females, the teacher was more embarrassed than the pupils.

I disagree, if I was in charge of education I would put right the teaching of Mathematics, English, and the Sciences, before even considering branching out trying to teach anything else.
