Many years ago i woke to firefighters putting out a major house fire two doors down. But this was the first time i’ve experienced one in the house i live in.
Have you experienced a house fire or something similar?

When I was around 7 years old, our neighbors house burned to the ground. The horrible thing is, the two sons were trapped in the garage (that's where it started). A police officer actually broke the garage window and jumped in, then threw them out the window. The younger son was pretty much okay but the older one had severe burns on his legs and never fully recovered. He ended up having to walk with a cane. It was actually horrible to witness.
That's sounds scary. ! I'm glad you're alright.
No, I don't think I've experienced it. I just experienced a water geyser being blasted after my (now it's former) housemate would keep the switch on for hours repeatedly and keep the tap close. Luckily, my housemate didn't get hurt
About a month ago, some neighbors, a few houses down, had a candle in a bookcase that caused the bookcase and the wall behind it to catch fire. Myself and some neighbors put the fire out ith water and fire extinguishers before the firetruck arrived.
In my childhood I started a few myself. But each time I could stop them early enough, too. Got caught only once.
Scientific research is a tough business.
The only other house fire that is/was close to me:

Personally, I've never experienced a house fire, but I've encountered challenging situations that required quick thinking and composure. In your case, the importance of fire safety and having an action plan is evident. It's always crucial to know exits, have working smoke detectors, and understand how to respond to alarms. While I haven't faced the same, I've worked with those who have, emphasizing preparedness and learning from each scenario to ensure better safety in the future.

No, it is one of my biggest fears. I always check my smoke detectors and have fire extinguishers i both my cars and in various places in my house. I used to have those Tot Saver decals on my kid's bedrooms when they were little.
I bought an old log cabin 5 years ago. I got a call a week after closing from the fire department saying it was a total loss. Apparently their was some faulty wiring in the breaker panel.
My dad's sister was killed in a fire so I'm pretty careful about fire at home
No but I’m sure you want me to experience it.
Thankfully no.
