I have been trying to write up about a case and keep procrastinating and its been a month already

• Eliminate any distractions -- girlfriend? tell her sorry babe, I've got to buckle down and do this. Guy friends? You can go drown yourself in boobs and beer AFTER you finish your project (as a celebratory goal).
• Set a Celebratory Goal...
• Walk away from the screen for one solid hour -- do something physical (a long walk, exercise, etc. to get your energy up, which also starts getting a few ideas flowing) then sit back down and complete the task.
• Run your outline through AI (GeminiPro/ChatGPT) to realign your thoughts and you'll see that the ideas start popping back into your head. (WARNING: Don't expect Gem/Chat to be perfect. Proofread everything carefully and triple check any links/source details.)

Perfectionism getting the better of you?

The trick is to just write. Write poop poop and then this and poop if you need to. The point is that you force start the process. Accept that it is a draft write freely without expectations and then you just go back and scrap everything that is too dumb while keeping the things you actually liked. Rinse and repeat.

Its a direct method I had to practice extensively to get through the monthly super essays uni demanded.
