Why do more men hide their achievements then women?

I went to a Chinese party with only one person my age there and he spent 2 hours talking about how his friends would gamble their money on websites and pretend to be mentally ill to get extensions on assignments. When we left the party, my dad told me he was the top pre med student at the University of Toronto and won awards for being in the top 2-3 out there.

The whole time, the guy pretended to be dumb around me!

He even told me about cheat websites created by U of T students where they tell you what classes are easy to get A’s in.

Honestly, I liked the personality of the guy you mentioned. To be frank, I don’t think most men are this humble. The majority tend to exaggerate even their smallest achievements. I’ve noticed that people who flaunt their success in front of everyone are often perceived as arrogant, and people don’t like that. This person, wanting to be liked, stays humble and sometimes even plays the fool or victim to win people’s affection.

I know both men and women who openly brag about their achievements and I know both who are more humble. I don't think there is a drastic difference the sexes, it's more down to the individuals personality

Depends on what men, I know many of the guys who like to brag with their achievements. The guy in your story is quite sneaky and cunning.
