It's a contentious issue around young people and how education is failing boys (prior to this the message was the education system failed girls so changing the tone isn't washing any of the responsibility away from the adults responsible for this) and thus barriers to success as well as opportunities to get greater efficiency into the economy are lost (many women will drop out of the workplace to have kids and this isn't a hurdle for men because they're not going to have a year away from working unless they live in expensive high tax nations).

The evidence shows boys outcomes are significantly improved in all boys education environments and girls only slightly.

How many situations in the real world where we all live, are you in single gender situations? Most employment, most social settings, and most events are co-ed. Don't get me wrong, co-ed education is not perfect but neither is single gender, but you can't shield anyone from the realities of life and how they must learn to socialize and live. How does one learn about the other gender and how to navigate that world with zero exposure? Life isn't just about books and success, there is a HUGE social avenue of life that arguably makes life worth living. I think you can have the best of both worlds. Some classes co-ed, others not. We also need to get away from this notion of girls bad, boys bad, and actually address these young people and help guide them in how to treat one another. We had this at my school and it was brilliant.

It doesn't matter. 6th grade was co-ed and then my middle school split the 7th and 8th grader by gender. Didn't matter they came together after school and did bad and sexual things. They had to call the students involved down. Out of the whole class 6 of us didn't participate. We ended up watching a movie and eating pizza while everyone else was in the principal's office.

There are many benefits to single-sex education...

I went to an all-boys high school. There was some discussion about changing to coed, and the students were polled. Overwhelmingly they voted to stay all-boys, with the main argument being it's easier to concentrate on studies and learning without the distraction of girls.

When we guys wanted to interact with girls, we went over, after school, to either of the 2 girls high schools in the area, or any of the coed schools. By the way, the girls-only schools also wanted to stay all-girls, for a similar reason.

No. Because Then you create a generation that dont know how to interact with the opposite gender early on. They will explode when they meet eaxh other in college. when they go to college they will go crazy. Maybe pay teachers more in order to attract more men to the field. Single sex skools are beneficial because the teachers are typically the same sex as the students. In this way, it borders on apprenticeship. You’re not just teaching readin’, writin’ and ‘rithmetic anymore. You’re teaching young people how to become disciplined and productive adults, hopefully through instruction and by good example.
Unfortunately, despite what women spout on social media, polling shows that the vast majority of women insist that their fella earns more than themselves. Statistically this is supported in that men are the sole or primary earner in 85% of heterosexual marriages. This is clearly women’s choice because women are increasingly earning more than men and even dating men who earn less, but almost exclusively marrying up, financially speaking.
So men remain absent from places where they are most needed to guide boys and young men, early education. Nearly half of all boys are being raised by single mothers. Nearly eighty percent of teachers in early education are female. Boys’ unique needs are not being met at home or at skool. Then everyone wonders why young men don’t act right.
It’s not like good teachers don’t deserve more already. Pay them more. You’re going to need twice as many teachers anyway. The data strongly suggests that smaller class sizes benefit students and teachers more. Splitting them up only to pack them into huge classes probably won’t produce the desired educational results. We don’t really even need separate campuses. Divide the campus and have common areas where the kids can engage the opposite sex in common areas, but instruction is handled by same sex teachers in single sex classrooms.
Boys need men and men need men. Unfortunately, the current public education system is exceedingly gynocentric.

My girlfriends parents sent her to an all-girls Catholic School to keep her away from boys and keep her mind focused.

She became 80% Lesbian very quickly.

Many think there is nothing wrong with that and say things like..."Well, at least she's not pregnant"

Perhaps there are studies showing the benefits to single gender schooling that I'm not personally aware of but to me personally there seems to be no benefits to single gender schooling.

I get that teenage hormones are crazy and all and that the vast majority of students are 100% straight and not LGBTQ+ at all but in the adult world they're gonna have to deal with people of both genders anyway so it's no use restricting them to going to school with only the same gender.

And believe me even if students aren't distracted by sexual attraction to the opposite gender they'll still find something else to be distracted by anyway. They'll only replace one distraction with another. That's how kids are. You can see throughout history all generations of kids having stupid trends from the beginning all the way to today.

i went to a junior/primary school that was all girls so like from 5 to 11. it was ok i guess but i like it being mixed now im at high school. one funny thing was it was a new girls school that used to be a boys school and they still had the urinals up in the PE toilets lol. How many girls do u think tried haha

i seriously think that what they're trying to do is to make school optional. where education is completely privatized at all levels. so instead of free education, we're moving further away from that and free healthcare.
