Is NY real estate worth it after mumdani win and in general these days?

I’ve been studying this real estate course for my nyc license but all the rich are leaving and it’s just not what it used to be I’m currently a grocery store cashier and my coworker is always calling out I’m stuck working all day by myself not extra pay no holiday overtime and it’s really getting to me I wanna know if there’s any other license or course I can do instead of real estate maybe that I can get the licenses and work remote from various states like Texas or Tennessee I don't know any advice would be appreciated thank u ☺️

Also I’m planning on leaving nyc within the next two years max which is also making me lose it and hesitant in my decision

Price-wise it will be a huge bargain when the real estate market crashes but if you don't live in your property (and possibly even if you do) and Mamdani forces you to rent it out at a rent-controlled discount you will lose money like crazy, and your tenants will not be responsible for damage the cause.

New York landlords are already having this problem because they're not allowed to raise rents to match their costs of maintaining the property, they're not allowed to charge tenants for damage, and they're not allowed to evict tenants. I have worked in real estate in the USA and now Australia, and I can tell you Texas or Tennessee are two of the last places you would want to go.

I know like 8 different people who are millionaires through family friends they are all selling their properties left and right and even telling me to not do my real estate license here and that I’m just wasting time and even that they know a lot of people who are leaving
