I've been recieving foodstamps for a few months. A recent law whent into effect here in oregon at least where if you aren't working, or at least showing you're looking for a job, you won't receive any foodstamps. I received a letter recently saying that since im not working, or at least showing them that im looking for a job then they will cut my funds off. I am looking for a job. I've applied to several places but havnt told them. So anyways, I checked my EBT balance just for the hell of it, and they added funds to it for this month. I was just not gonna use in case I get in trouble, I don't wanna have to pay all of what I used back. Im going to give them a call on Monday, but I was just curious.
