Trending & News I often did that during my career. My job always involved working together, as a team, and it helps to get to know and respect each other.
I don't like it
We have to work closely
And mostly we don't which suits me
I remember few jobs we had canteen so no choice
Definitely didn't like that
These days I go to the gym every day
Other reason I don't is
I was putting on weight
Eating two dinners per day
Now I go to the gym
At my old job where I had colleagues I could actually lunch with, we went all the time, and I was in management which typically would be the last people anyone would invite to lunch. I had an amazing staff and colleagues. We used to have this Mexican bar and restaurant about 2 blocks from us, and we were all there so often they knew us by name. We even would plan outings outside of work times, to go hang out. Loved those days, some of my best memories of that job.
Interesting
So you went with your people who reported to you?
You just have been very comfortable in your role?
I would find it stressful talking to people who worked for me
No. It would be no time for that anyway as we all only have a 30 minute lunch break.
Yup , lunch , dinners , overnight stays.. don’t get excited.. separate rooms 😇
I honestly think it has helped make us the team we are
Balancing social interactions at work is important. I've found that occasional lunches with colleagues can build rapport and improve teamwork. It's natural to feel awkward at times due to competitiveness, which is why it's helpful to keep these gatherings casual and positive. Sharing meals occasionally allows you to connect on a personal level without feeling pressured to make it a daily habit. Each workplace culture is different, so it's key to find a balance that feels comfortable for you.
Good answer

Once a week. I WFH except for one day a week when we all go to the office kick around ideas together. We all have different specialties so there is no competitiveness and we enjoy the face to face time.
We used to go every day before the Covid19 pandemic.
What happened after?
Customer and company switched to home office.
Every day
You became overweight?
No, our German food is of high quality and I make my 10.000 steps daily.
Hey define quality food?
Food contains calories
Even good quality🙂
Normal portion sizes, organic meat, mineral water, no HFCS in everything...
Once in a while. I prefer to eat lunch alone
I don't even hang out with them.
Yes, several times each month.
Sometimes, but certainly not every day.
Almost everyday and it's such a pleasure.
Occasionally.
All the time.
You enjoyed it?
Did you put on weight?
No...
Just on business trips.
