My coworkers and I are trying to plan a karaoke night lol. I’m excited. I really get along with my coworkers and I’ve been wanting to chill with them outside of work for a while.

Well, I'm my boss and co-worker now, so yes! But before this, I was a manager at a museum, and as cheesy as it sounds, we were a family vs. just being co-workers---there was a Mexican restaurant across the street we often all went to after work, we started our own running club and softball team, everyone went to baby showers, local parade events, birthday parties, Christmas parties, movies, charity events, house warming parties, we went clubbing, everything. We had our own Facebook group, and it would just be like, lets hang out here, and everyone would just turn up. It's the thing I miss the most about that job. I'm glad I documented our fun during those years, because I definitely have the memories.
I used to at previous jobs but I don’t have time anymore, also every job I’ve had I advance pretty fast. I’m very competitive and have always improved operations leading to a raise in pay sooner than other people. At some point I started realizing some of my coworkers interest in me wasn’t in a friendly manner it was more about prying into my personal life.
Nope. They are co-workers for a reason. I have been fired from for and I quote "you don't socialize with us after work" no shit I don't. You all spend 3 hours getting drunk and I have better shit to do with my time. I will be friendly with co-worker at work but I have my own life which they are not and never will be apart of
Yeah I hang out with some of the coworkers my age, but only the ones I knew before we started working together. I work with 7 other young people who came from the same school as me so we'd already hung out occasionally before becoming coworkers and now we're all friends.

Low key on selection. I used to party with them, but now just more so hang outs. Hanging with one this weekend. Another wanna hang out with me another time.

I did have a job when I was in college in which a lot of us did stuff together. Once I left that job I don't really do anything with any coworkers.
I've done it yes... but I wouldn't advise it... simply because I know how it plays out in the long run.
