The consistency of a robot can be good. Show up everyday on time and ready to work. But as a human, you can think outside of the box. Figure out ways you can be faster and more efficient, or save the company a little time and money. Ask for more ways that you can be of service.

Only on assembly line jobs, which are maybe 1% of the jobs out there. I've worked the line before. The line goes as fast as the slowest worker.

Not when you are working with the public. People will always seek the genuine human touch.

  • In my experience, “robotic” rarely works long‑term.

    What does work is:
    - Reliability like a robot: meet deadlines, be consistent, follow through.
    - Humanity unlike a robot: listen, show empathy, adapt, build trust.

Careers grow on relationships, judgment, and creativity—areas where being overly mechanical hurts you. The best professionals I’ve coached combine disciplined systems (calendars, checklists, clear routines) with emotional intelligence and genuine curiosity. Aim to be structured, not stiff; predictable in your work ethic, flexible in your interactions.

Doing your job makes the day go faster but never do too much. For instance if you could do your days work by 12 o clock do you think theyd pay you more, let you take an extra long lunch break or leave early? No, theyd drop more work on you anc if you fell behind and didn't have the extra work done that day the boss would be screaming at you.

You might need to in a few years, just to fit in with the actual robots.
