Should I continue working for UberEats and other gig apps this year?

I earn just as much, if not more from donating plasma to Grifols with less effort and time involved. Also my parents claim they're leaving Canada back to their home country for retirement soon, and I think doubling down on entrepreneurship will help me gain independence. However, I can't really achieve that within the timeframe they've given me if I also get distracted from being a bike courier. I'm also not really gonna waste my time playing video games or watching livestreams anymore.

You need a strategy with Ubereats because I've noticed they tried their hardest to drag you down when I did it, they do anything they can to make your shit more difficult just to make their own or the customer's life easier, apparently door dash algorithm is designed to calculate desperate drivers, meaning if you just accept everything you get, they will only give you the shittiest orders, I wouldn't be surprised if all these apps work the same, worst desperate case the lowest you go is a 1/1 ratio on a mile per dollar measurement, and those should be the extremely rare occasions, always try to get more dollars per mile, try to avoid cancellations, acceptance rate drops etc. but don't be afraid to click the buttons if you truly need too, also with cancellations that aren't your fault always try to contact them first and get Uber to cancel them for you, their system is weird. Some will do it and others will force you to cancel, Uber eats have told me some questionable things that lets me know they are crooks, only way to deal with crooks is to play like a crook.

DoorDash will deactivate people for having low acceptance rating, unlike UberEats

Uber eats does too supposedly, I think it's all a strategy to keep you from slacking, they need drivers, without drivers their business fails, it's why they make you feel forced to care for your rate but I dont think they even notice unless its low to the ground lol

Sadly for UberEats, they almost will never lower my cancellation rate, even if it's due to circumstances beyond my control

No UberEats at least in Toronto doesn't deactivate couriers and drivers for low acceptance rate, only for high cancellation and low satisfaction (latter what got me booted off)
