Is it better to let people discover your point or to shove it down their throats so they know you're better than they are?

I get bored trying to explain things normally just to be misunderstood because people only pay attention to key phrases... So I've developed a habit for sort of dropping little clues and it's way more satisfying seeing what different people pick up on and how they interpret it. Even if sometimes I'm still like 🤔🫩😵‍💫

I sort of do something similar but I’m a private person unless I trust the person. At times tho when I know I’m right I try and shove it down their throat because damnit stop telling me I’m wrong. If I feel like it’s going to be an issue I give little hints about the situation and see if they pick up on it and how long it takes them to figure it out if they ever do.

I try and lead my students to finding the answer themselves. Sometimes it does not always work out that way and I have to spoon feed them.
