I know this sounds stupid but I really enjoy thinking about intelligent life being possible, and I don't know if you know but the chances are astronomically low. It's a miracle we're alive, let alone be able to think about being alive.

Also, it's so funny how humans are unique in so many things, ever wondered how funny it would be if other species also for example had cars or were in class etc

I just love that and watching documentaries/ reading books about that. (Anyone have good recommendations?)

You are 100% right, it doesn’t sound stupid at all! Whenever I think about the exact conditions needed for us to exist, it totally blows my mind. We basically won the ultimate cosmic lottery. And picturing animals stuck in traffic or stressing over a math exam is hilarious!

Why? There's no "why" as far as we know. Some people will say God but we're so tiny in an unimaginably vast universe that it seems absurd to imagine we are somehow uniquely special. If there are conscious beings elsewhere, they are impossibly distant.

I don't claim to have specialist knowledge.

Scientists have found that pre-life compounds form reasonably easily in the right conditions.

They also have looked hard enough to not find any signs of it anywhere... no radio signals, nothing.

So based on a spoon of sand, we're the only grain with intelligent life, probably any life at all. What does that say about the rest of the beach?

Technically not but complex intelligent life that is there at the same time as us very likely is very small (at least if you count the factors that humans need to life and don't account for other types of like than ours, since I was talking about humans, about how you specifically are alive)
