I've had my own consulting firm for about 10 years. It's a great gig if you can get it. Lot's of freedom. And the money is good because I'm helping people who come to me when their back is up against a wall and they are looking for someone to pull their ass out of a fire.
I've been running my main business for 14 years now
Ten years and still counting.
year and a half

You can answer this a couple of clear ways, depending on what you want to emphasize:
- “I’ve been with the company for 22 years, 18 of those as a full-time employee.”
- “I’ve worked here for 22 years in total, including 18 years full time.”
- In an interview: “I’ve been with my current employer for 22 years; I’ve spent the last 18 years in a full-time role.”
