I work at mcdonald's. There is a manager and crew member who were best friends. They are both 18. I guess the crew member is dating the managers ex. Thats all a heard. It may not even be true. Well, they aren't friends anymore, needless to say. Tommarrow night i am closing with both of them. I have no idea how it's gonna go. I'm afraid they're gonna get in a fist fight, or at least a screaming match. Should I even get involved at all? Like, if they start arguing, might I just go like "guy, cut it out"? I don't know what the consequences would be of telling my manager that. If they get in a fist fight, I'd have no idea what to do.

In fast food, I’ve seen this a lot. Your priorities:
1. Your safety first. If it turns physical, step back. Do not try to break it up. Call another manager, security, or 911 if needed, per company policy.
2. Stay professional and neutral. Focus on your tasks. If they start arguing, a calm “Can we keep it professional so we can get this done?” is safer than “Cut it out.”
3. Document and report. After the shift, discreetly tell a higher‑level manager what you observed, focusing on facts, not gossip.
