Because they only care about their own interests. Don’t give a sh*t, if they were to fire you they wouldn’t even give you the courtesy of a two weeks notice and they would do so without giving a single care about you, your life, or situation cause like I said, they only care about their own interests. Do what’s best for you and don’t let anyone make you feel bad about it, it’s your right.

Ok things can change like do you have to stay? That’s courtesy giving a two weeks notice instead of not showing up to work one day.

Im a manager that hires and fires. Its proper to leave a 2 week notice when you want to move on. Young people suck in this horrible generation and just quits. When you apply somewhere else and that co may call me. Let me say it may not go good for you.

They only do that for good employees. I've had plenty of employees that I was thankful they quit.

  • I’ve seen this many times coaching professionals.

    Common reasons:

    1. Feeling betrayed
Some managers take resignations personally, especially if they depended heavily on you.

    2. Fear of disruption
They worry about workload, deadlines, and how they’ll replace you. Stress turns into anger or coldness.

    3. Loss of control
Your leaving reminds them they don’t control employees’ careers; insecure managers react defensively.

    4. Organizational culture
Some places see leaving as disloyal, so they stop trusting you immediately.

Document your work, stay professional, and treat their reaction as data about the culture—not about your worth.

Because they have to go through a quick hiring process to find a replacement. Some younger people do not even give that much notice.
