lol so I was working at Pizza Hut. And some guy calls up asking if this is Pizza Hut. I just said, "Welcome to Pizza Hut." before he asked. but that wasn't the dumbest part. He then asked me if I could order him a pizza from Domino's. He sounded kinda drunk so I think it was a prank call, but still

People do that a lot where I work which is a privately owned business or an LLC. So people confuse it all the time with other pet stores and try to return things that they didn't buy from us and insist they did after we tell them they didn't multiple times lol

I don't work in retail but in hospitality and have heard some dumb ones. There are covered docks down on the lake. While they are technically connected to the property, they are not owned by the hotel. They are private boat owners.

A guy checking in asked if guests could rent those boats. Now on the surface that seems harmless. However, these boats down there are very fancy and expensive. Even I know that and know next to nothing about boats.

This guy thought the hotel had a collection of $500,000 to million dollar boats to lend out to guests that have no qualifications like they were pontoon rentals or something.

I get it. I worked at a bookstore and we didn’t wear uniforms, but we did have a name tag with our first name and title on it. A lot of people still asked me that question.
