Apparently no one wants independent web developers and software engineers anymore.

I am not in good physical shape at all for menial labor and hands-on, blue collar work. Not only can I not physically handle those roles well, but I will be chewed up and spit out by coworkers in roles like that. I don't have the social skills for those types of jobs.

So I am left in limbo right now trying to figure out how to make money. Things are incredibly tight right now for me and my wife.

Teach yourself a few phrases in Spanish and got to Mexico , then sneak back in the country illegally. You will get everything you need to live a comfortable middle class life and you won't have to worry about finding a job.
