How fast after graduating college did you find a job in your field?

a job for me was pretty much guaranteed... even before graduation as well

however... I didn't want it, I did not want to end up with a career on that field

I quit college half way... and started my own business, or actually... I worked in business, then started my own a few years later

So far, never.

I’ll share from my own path and what I’ve seen coaching others.

I landed my first role in my field about two months after finishing my bachelor’s, but only because I’d started preparing a year earlier: internships, networking with alumni, and tailoring my résumé to specific roles.

From my coaching experience:
- Some students get offers before graduation (intern-to-full‑time).
- Many take 3–6 months.
- Others need 6–12 months, especially in competitive fields.

The key is early internships, strong networking, and applying consistently to well‑matched roles.

Never went to college. But the very next day after receiving my A&P license I was working in my career

Less than a month.
