I took an example of a successful wine label in my business guide and tried to improve on the name with my new innovation.

I finally came up with two names that I thought were more interesting than the trademarked wine brand, but they are both names you would use for restaurants and not names you would expect from a published non fiction writer.

I know most businesses can become profitable, even if they use a categorically outlandish words in their name, but it just seems using a restaurant name looks is inviting bait for others who might want to misuse my trademark for a restaurant or food business without my consent.

Suing them would cost money and might be impossible if trademarked names are only applicable to the category in which you have histories of provable product sales in those selected countries.

I just wrote up a draft for some possible things I could say to a group or a person who might be my future employer one day. I realized a lot of my words, seemed self egotistical, and possibly unrealistic. Like I believe my credentials are higher than my intellectual skills, so it might not be honest to toot my own horn. Like if I say that I was in the enhanced program for people who score in the 98th percentile on intellectual capacity tests, got the highest grade among 200 students in my bachelors program, and used to memorize 300 pages a day in first year university, people might be expecting a rocket scientist and not somebody like me, who got fired from a basic digital CNC programming role at a STEM company.

My cousin and her same age neighbour had gruesome study ethics, personality self control ethics, and mad gym protocols, and both became massive successes. One got a elite job on Wall Street and the other became a biology professor at a Jewish university with a high profile lawyer as her husband, both working close to each other.

This is my FIRST writing test at the DMV and I passed! 🤩 only missed 3 questions ☺️. Can only miss 5 to pass.

I started my new job 3 months ago

So Im still on probation period (6months)

But I didn't tell my work that I was pregnant

Few days ago I had to go give birth so I took annual leave

but my boss doesn’t know I took off work for labour

After I gave birth, I called my boss and told her the truth

she was shocked and confused but happy for me

but everything is confusing now

so she said she will get back to me by the end of the week to decide on a mutual decision about my position

then today, I received some flowers and gifts from her (my boss) and card saying congratulations

then I messaged her thank you!

We talked for abit and then she said she wants to have a quick chat tomorrow

do you guys think Im going to get fired? Or she's going to plan something that will work out?

My dad emails my mom with messages between he and his boss, my dad called out yesterday & emailed his boss. The boss replies (in bad English), cc’s two other employees & points out it’s suspicious that he normally calls out on Fridays and Mondays, plus he tends to call out right when he accrues enough hrs (he accrues PTO/sick days) & mentioned he’s already called out 5 times for 2023. My dad has been at the company for a little over a year I think, apparently my dad replied to the email getting kind of defensive, mentioned he’s only called out on a Monday & Friday 2 times & called out on the other days of the week the 3 other times. His boss apologized, my mom told me today he updated her & was given a written warning. in my opinion 5 days for the year is a bit much considering we’re only in May but my mom told me that she had a tendency to call out every week for a few years & wasn’t told anything until her most recent boss called her out on it via email a few years back then my mom finally stopped doing that.

TLDR; was my dad’s boss micromanaging/being difficult giving him a written warning after calling out 5 days for the year already?
