Event Horizon (1997)
Event Horizon wasn't a box office success even though it was advertised like crazy in 1997. It was made with 60M and only made 26.7M at the box office which is so bad that a movie made for so much but recently many people discovered Event Horizon and like it. But many like it for the gore in it and how the things that they cut from the movie are amazing.
Swamp Thing (1982)
Swamp Thing wasn't reported to make a lot at the box office but it did manage to make a sequel. With a 64% percent from critics on Rotten Tomatoes it wasn't a huge box office success but eventually many people watched and love Swamp Thing to where many people love watching and talking about it. Its hard not to when they're so many awesome action scenes.
Little Monsters (1989)
Little Monsters is a movie starring Fred Savage and is a story about Fred Savage finding a monster under his bed and eventually going under to a place filled with monsters. Its kind of cruel that him and his friend monster pull pranks to other kids in the movie that did nothing wrong to him. They should've just did a prank on the one kid who was mean to Fred Savage .While it did terribly at the box office only making 793,775 while it took to make 7M to make it managed to find a lot of people to love it.
Road House (1989)
Road House was made with 15M and it made 30.1M at the box office. While it was a box office success its should've been more popular than it was .It's an action packed movie that many people love for it. It has a 66% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes. :p
Fight Club (1999)
Fight Club has a 79% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. While it was made 63M and only made a 100.9M at the box office. The makers of Fight Club wanted to make more at the box office but even it was a disappointment when it came to the box office many people really love it.
While this movie was a box office success many think it should've been a bigger success. It was made with 22.7M and it made 38.1M at the box office. It has a 54% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes and 83% rating from audiences. Many people love this movie because they find it hysterical. It was a box office success because it did get a wide theatrical release.
Monster Squad (1987)
Monster Squad got a wide theater release but only made 3.8M at the box office. It should've made more at the box office since its such an awesome movie. And it has 78% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It should've made so much more popular because of the awesome monsters.
Some of these movies as I said were box office successes but we're intended to be more popular at the box office.
Most Helpful Opinions
Spaceballs was one of the funniest movies ever :D
Isn't it still one of the funniest movies ever?
Yes, it is, though, it has some competition like The Naked Gun and Hot Shots :)
Hot Shots has an 83% from critics
So why doesn't Spaceballs have such a good percentage?
It probably would've had a better percentage if these magazine critics or what their called didn't give negative reviews. Spaceballs probably would've had a 60 something percentage if it wasn't for them
See... the bad influence spreads quite fast.
To me and a lot of other people their not really critics.
If it wasn't for Empire Magazine critic and TV Guide critic Spaceballs would've probably been at least 60% those two shouldn't even be rating this movie
Thanks for the MHO :D
Bud don't you agree those two shouldn't have even rated this movie?
Yep, I don't think they should.
What do you think of Hot Shot getting 83% by the way bud?
It's ok, but Hot Shots 2 was much better in my opinion.
Are you saying Hot Shots deserves a higher percentage?
Hot Shots 2? Yes, much higher.
No I'm talking about the first one
I prefere the second one.
I know! I'm asking if you think Hot Shots deserves higher than 83%
I think 83% is an adequate percentage for the first movie.
What do you mean? Are you saying it deserves to be higher?
No, I think the percentage was quite sufficient, but the sequel should get much more.
I'll try and watch Hot Shot! I hope it's really good
It is, I think you're gonna like it.
By the way your talking about the 1986 movie right?
No, I'm talking about 1991 movie and the 1993 sequel.
Sorry I meant you mean the 1991one right? Critics seem to love the first one. It's too bad it wasn't like Terminator 2 getting a high percentage
I like both movies but the sequel is better, you'll see.
I think before I watch Hot Shots I think I'll watch Spaceballs.
Good idea, I also recommend Top Secret (1984) :)
Top Secret 1984 has a 76% from critics (:
Then you'll probably like it :P
Do you think it should be higher or lower?
Higher because it was hilarious, but I'm not a critic so their opinion doesn't influence me.
Do you like the percentage it has though?
It's ok, but it should have been much higher.
At least 90% or more. But as I said, I'm not a critic, my opinion is not influenced by their percentages.
Well it doesn't have to be influenced but it can be admired
I can't admire to unfairly low percentages.
That's not really low and how about The Terminator 100 percentage?
I told about a million times, it's one of the rare fair percentages by the critics.
I mean isn't that admirable?
Are you surprised Terminator 2 doesn't have 100% too?
Yes I am, the same goes for T3 too.
I read a comment on a video for worst sequels and someone said Terminator 3 should've been on there ):
See... some people are just dumb.
I've heard so many awesome things about Terminator 1 and 2 but besides you I never heard anything positive about Terminator 3
You heard it from me.
Thanks for the MHO
Sorry I forgot to mention that. (: Anyway I ordered Spaceballs today but she said it will take 1-3 weeks for me to get it ):
Be patient, the movie is great ;)
There were two used copies there but I didn't want ones that were used so I had to order it.
