Paying Homage to Motorsports: NASCAR Hall of fame in Charlotte, NC.

In the hallowed sport of Stock Car racing names like Petty, Earnhardt, Allison, Gordon, and Waltrip are big names. In Charlotte, North Carolina the Hall of Fame and Museum are the Mecca to where the racing fan visits and sees artifacts from NASCAR's storied 80+ year history. You will now see pictures of the place and the artifacts inside. I do warn you some of these are blurry or reflective due to the lighting in the display cases. Even if you aren't a NASCAR fan, I hope you enjoy a look at this tribute to the sport.

The museum had simulator rides and interactive exhibits like a pit crew challenge where you change a tire, gas up a car, and jack it off. It was 10 bucks to park downtown, but it's a good history of a sport that sadly is declining.

I lived and worked in Savannah, GA and I never heard more about the civil war and NASCAR in my life as I did there. My coworkers would argue about the races and pit strategies like the rest of America argued about football and baseball. I knew coworkers that bought certain cars because that was what their favorite drivers drove even going so far as getting a new one of a different make or model if their favorite driver changed cars. It was eye opening the popularity. I had no idea. NASCAR has some excellent values. The drivers and crew are very accessible to fans and they start every race with prayer and the national anthem with no controversy. The car I’d most want to see is Petty’s Superbird with the high wing

My dad and I used to love Nascar. He collected the die-cast ones and I collected the little hot wheels sized ones. I had a racetrack carpet and would play with them on there. But several years ago they changed the rules and it became too stupid to enjoy.

That was alright I never watched a race played the video game, thanks for sharing that, oh the simulator part where you gas up the car, how do you Jack it off kinda of an odd thing to do to a car, you know what might make it a little more exciting, put some moonshine in the cars and have the cops Chase them around the track, the moonshine 500,
