31 Days of Favorite Halloween Movies/Specials (or at least 31 mytakes) part 1

I am going to try something a little ambitious and I probably not be able to do it every single day but I will make sure to hit all 31 mytakes.

I am going to do a series of 31 of my favorite Halloween movies and or specials of some kind.

My first take will be on Ernest Scared Stupid (October 11, 1991)

This one had a special place in my childhood and it is clearly a very corny over the top movie but I still enjoy watching Ernest's Screwball Slapstick comedy. May he rest In piece.

I will start with fan made pictures of the movie and then go from there.

This shows that it is clearly not just a random forgotten film. It has stuck around for some people. In a nutshell this movie is about a group of trolls that collect kids souls and turn them into wooden figures. I remember getting pretty scared about that as a kid.

But lucky for the kids they did have Ernest to save the day! Right? :)

That was a fun treehouse that used in the movie but It is one of those fun things where the kids mostly figured it out while Ernest bumbled through it like Scooby Doo and Shaggy :)

Oh and this weird voo doo lady helped too :) Apparently this was a supernatural thing that needed to be fought with supernatural means and milk, don't ask :)

It is a lot of fun and had moments like this...

One of my favorite parts was the beginning credits, it featured many classic monster film clips

Hope you enjoyed my little ernest trip short and sweet. Now let's see what else I can come up with...

You are such a sweet individual to share such things so openly!

This one as silly as it may sound brought tears to my eyes because it is one of my most favorite childhood Halloween... or non Halloween I don't care I'll watch it even if it's not Halloween... movies!

This brought me back to the many evenings cuddling up with my brothers and my father and laughing our guts out to this movie.

I love the scene of the little girl arguing with her mother she got mad at her mom over her costume and I love the way she stomps and cries out Mommy and then I'm paraphrasing here I believe she says I love you.

I remember the first time I saw that this scene at that young age it gave me goosebumps in the war m and loving embrace the mother and child had was engraved in my memory.

And then I remember the funny older lady mentioning the heart of a child I'm not sure she said unconditional love but she didn't mention the heart of a child.

Sigh to love that way and to be loved that way is the sweetest gift ever.
