Badass Female Action Stars

I've found a tendency among people who dislike a Rey or Captain Marvel or Michael Burnham (like myself) to be called sexist or racist or something like that. So here is a compilation of some action stars I consider totally badass for people who haven't experience enough women actually being awesome to tell the difference.

by the way, Asian cinema does a way better job of casting female action stars (they cast them sort of like how Hollywood casts male action stars like an Arnold Schwarzenegger or Jean-Claude Van Damme or Chuck Norris or Jackie Chan or Sly Stallone). They prioritize women who have the physical requirements for the role -- not skilled actresses at drama -- more martial artists, stuntwomen, dancers, and comedians.

What movie was that with Maggie Cheung? Only saw her in movies with people like Jackie Chan, not 'by herself'. Kate Beckinsale from Underworld was pretty good, before all those horrible "woke" female characters who try to be cool by putting men down and fail so hard.

The problem with Rey, and Captain Marvel, and "Michael" is that they were portrayed as feminists rather than just women... especially CM and "Michael."

Instead of pushing an agenda and telling a good story they bring down franchises. Now granted CM did pull in $1B, but that was under the Marvel tentpole. Could it do so by itself outside of Marvel? No... no one would watch it.

You had to watch CM because it's story was integrated into the MCU and when CM was out it already had like a decade of MCU movies behind it. You couldn't start the MCU with CM, but you could (and did) with Iron Man.

Agreed and Michael especially irritates me. How is it that someone with a Vulcan upbringing manages to find a reason to cry almost every episode? And with CM, it's like half the guys are complete sexist asses.

My thoughts though are that sometimes maybe there's a "girl power" thing to some of the films I grew up as a kid starring female action stars. But they at least had the physicality and choreography down, or the humor, or something like that. And they were fun -- they weren't so political.

I never watched STD because it's just SJW crap... which is why I never bothered with CBS All Access. But calling her "Michael" was idiotic. I saw one clip where this guy, who was made to look beta, kept arguing with this woman... it was so cringe and I thought it was a joke because it was so poorly acted... but it was a legit part of the series.

Monkey-style! That part where Kara Wai jump-kicked the guy and the plague fell off was awesome along with the piledriver. That film was actually coordinated by Jackie Chan and his stunt team to my understanding and I wouldn't be surprised if some of the stars had to spend a bit of time in the hospital.

I love Scarlett Johansson and Elizabeth Olsen in action roles. Brie Larson would prolly fit in other roles such as a rom-com or drama. I think Keira Knightley is a good bet too.

That had some fight scenes that seemed very brutal and realistic to me. I liked it quite well. There's a lot of good examples in my opinion for Hollywood to learn from.

I watched atomic blond and then Ana back to back. You can definitely see the the work Charlize Theron out into her moves that Jessica Chastain didn’t.

They’re both hot AF, but still...:)
