What are your thought? I just watched the movie, and I loved it. Thinking about buying the book. What does this quote mean in depth? And did you sympathise with Humbert? Was Lolita responsible, or not to blame for her initiative in the relationship? Anything, I just want to hear your thoughts. And do you know any more movies like it?

Dolores was a little girl, it’s arguable that “Lolita”doesn’t really exist as a character, and instead as an idea and fantasy that Humbert assigned to Dolores without her consent. She had no fault or blame in what he did to her.. his role as an unreliable narrator made her into a seductress, when she was actually only an abused child. I think the book is better at portraying this though.

Try watching the movie first. It doesn't showcase it all, but maybe it peeks your interest? Dunno, I really liked it.

I'll stay at the two first questions. Yes, there are wound's that just don't heal, and those could and will hold parts of you attached to the past as it shows in the the movie with Humbert, and in that sense, I sympathize whit him. Those ghosts, time to time will hover around you.
Now a guy asking a girl, a curiosity about the story on the movie, could a young lady as Lolita have ( even an immature ) sense of " seduction" towards a man? ** NOT BLAMING LOLITA FOR HUMBERT ACCTIONS **
