"The poison was in the wound, you see. And the wound wouldn't heal" from Lolita? The movie?

What are your thought? I just watched the movie, and I loved it. Thinking about buying the book. What does this quote mean in depth? And did you sympathise with Humbert? Was Lolita responsible, or not to blame for her initiative in the relationship? Anything, I just want to hear your thoughts. And do you know any more movies like it?
