Pokemon vs Digimon and Marvel vs DC?

I was going to do separate questions but I figured id just throw them into one.

So out of Pokemon and Digimon, which do you prefer and why?

Out of Marvel and DC which do you prefer and why?

I understand that most people would pick one for different reasons. For example, I would pick Pokemon for the games but Digimon for the show. Id pick Marvel for the films/TV shows but DC for the games.

But overall, id probably pick Pokemon because it was a huge part of my childhood (just slightly ahead of Digimon) and id pick Marvel.

Growing up I wasn’t into Digimon at all. I believe I watched a couple of episodes when I was younger, I still remember the intro song. I’d go with Pokémon all day because I watched the movies, shows, and collected the cards when I was younger. For Marvel and DC, Id go DC for the same reason, more exposure when I was younger. Plus, my favorite comic book character Batman is DC superhero. I grew up watching a lot of Batman and the animated Justice League shows.

regarding the TV shows digimon, it was somewhat more mature with more depth and had some drama for good measure. Pokémon is essentially kiddie crack.

Don't really care about Pokemon/Digimon.

Marvel beats the shit out of DC. Expecially with regards to their cinematic universes. DC just can't seem to make good movies since The Dark Knight trilogy.

Anyways. Batman V Superman was better than most people think. DC just has a hard time inserting comedy into serious stories. They have the better, and the original, heroes. They just have a history of serious stories, which aren't as good for movies these days. Their less serious characters do well though. I recommend their TV series, which are exceptional compared to Marvel ones.

@RobertBaratheon No, the seriousness isn't the problem - the Dark Knight trilogy was dark and done well. BvsS just sucked ass. It had no plot and it was boring.
Superman is just a boring character who can't work well in movies any more.

It had a strong plot. I really don't know how you could even think that.

Bad guy hates God. He sees that people think superman is god. He decides to show superman and the world he isn't god by using batman. Eventually good guys good guy, and beat him. Obviously simplified a lot, but yeah. Sometimes confusing and the plot doesn't beat you with a hammer repeatedly, but it's still good.

And, I disagree. Most of the good bits of superman are internal struggle. That can be done well, and has in cinema before. He is, effectively, a better Captain America.

I have to agree. Batman V Superman was a disaster! As was Man of Steel and Suicide Squad. Going from the trailers, im not hoping that Justice League is going to pick things up. The overuse of symbolism doesn't make up for the poorly written plots and unlikable characters.

If it's close to as good as wonder woman it'll be great though. Hopefully it's a sign of an upturn.

I mean I love Marvel but I also want DC to pull it back. The Dark Knight trilogy was incredible and so i hope this new attempt can do well. They have some incredible stuff to work with so fingers crossed

Marvel is just bliss, the latest Thor film is also one of my favourites. The comics are weird but better than DC that exists solely for Batman. Pokémon is childish as a show but still leaving me with more feelings than Digimon ever did
