Not sure how to feel about this. I have only watched the man from UNCLE, and Henry Cavill played a charming and classy secret agent.

To me Cavill seems more like the friendly neighborhood handsome knight captain who serves the king than an itinerant albino mutant who spends days and nights killing disgusting insectoids in the city sewers for meager coins...

About the casting so far

I didn't have much expectation for this series, but after reading the scripts here, they seem to get the characterization pretty on point

On the other hand, he'd make a really good Vilgefortz though, look at these

If you read the books, Cavill has Vilgefortz's fuccboi look, and he could play the charming, classy, devious role quite well, and he definitely looks like the guy who could cripple Geralt permanently in a 1v1 duel

Since they cast Henry Cavill as rough boy Geralt, it is really really hard to cast pretty boy Vilgefortz

I don't know how I feel about this. Henry i great as Superman and that's how I view him. Geralt is a mans man, he is dusky and fierce. I know the series will be based on the looks but I feel like they portrayed him very well in the games and it would be a shame if they were to veer from that.

I always imagined Geralt to be played by someone Nordic, big, bear like. Henry Cavill isn't anywhere close to that. But I don't know what the tone of the series is going to be, so maybe they are going for something different.

I've never played the games but I think that Cavill is a good actor who has just taken on some pretty awful roles. I'd be intrigued to see what his range is like.
