I was very much into horror movies as a kid. Our local rental would offer 5 older movies for 5 days for $5 and I would try to cherry-pick the racks. Seeing that Hellraiser diverted itself from your normal slasher formula, I started to become interested in Clive Barker who took to creating atmospheric horror with a twist of fables.

I don't really watch horror movies too often but its a weird childhood nostalgia. For example, I loved Joan Cusack in Addams Family as a villian. But who can forget?
FREE SERIAL MOM!I wouldn't call horror movie killers or sideshows villians just protagonist characters who have no real background like in about every saw movie jigsaw hardly had a real appearance other than those creepy short videos that plays before time limit flows illustrating what his victims must do if they want to live and every scream movie the masked killer wasn't the same person just someone else who plans to kill their target and like anyone that associates with their target or something other than that the killers in movies like this joke a lot with their victims
Maybe Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs:

And The Reverend from Brimstone:Yeah I think Freddy Kruegger is probably the best one... definitely not the scariest... but his story is pretty cool... plus his M. O. is definitely unique.
The idea of being killed in your sleep in a horrific way is pretty intense. It's like there is no escape... plus it allows so much more possibility in terms of grusomeness without getting too stupid...Well, I watch more thriller than horror so I can sleep at night lol, but I've watched The Roommate many times. Maybe there's a touch of horror there, you can be the judge of that lol. The villian, spoiler alert, is Rebecca. She's not entirely sane, but she hides it very well. She's also scary, fearless, strong and smart. She's my fav. ^^
Freddys funny but i dont support his racist pedophilic azz. I can't stand jason and michael cause the hoes never die. I like ghostface 😍 he's funny and can die. I also like santa from santas slay
What was the guy with the needles coming out of his face? Was that hellraiser? My roommate loved that movie and I never understood it. He would be my favorite villain only because I used to give my roommate crap about it. Chucky always freaked me out if that's what you're going for.
Jason
By the way, if horror movies had happy music, would they still be horror movies. I mean can you imagine seeing a scene where Jason is holding his chainsaw but, they're playing happy music behind it, instead of something scary sounding.
Or is it still scary, because it's JasonPinhead
Freddy baby. I also liked chucky cuz my son looked like a good guy doll when he was a little boy.
Jason Voorhees
Oh man cool question! I have to think about it and get back to you!
I never really watched a horror movies
I would say Satan lol, I have seen the exorcist and the original CarrieMy favorite slasher series is Halloween, so I have to say Michael Myers. Jason is pretty good too.
Jack Torrance, The Shining
https://youtu.be/iylfuesLZBgjason, i dont like your killer, in dead by daylight its impossible to get away from him, he can see you but you can't see him and its frustrating 😣
I grew up on Freddy, Jason, and Michael Myers. I much prefer the 80's slasher movies to the cgi stuff now. I guess my favorite would be Michael Myers though.
Bathsheba Sherman I think. Because The Conjuring is one of my favorite horror films.
It's kind of a toss-up between Dr. Phibes and Prof. Fate.
Xenomorph from Alien.
Not a true villain. An extraterrestrial being without (much of) a conscience where few got out alive.
