Do you have a favorite horror movie character?

I am not sure what qualifies as a horror movie.
However, I will go with two:
1. Colossus in the movie "Colossus: The Forbin Project". Colossus is a US supercomputer charged with running America's defense. It promptly discovers a Soviet counterpart, Guardian. The two machines become linked, establish their own language, and then become a single entity that proceeds to take over the world. The ironic thing is that, as much as a villain that Colossus is, it can also be viewed as a draconian hero.
2. The aliens in the Alien franchise of movies.
In the first movie, "Alien", the robot Ash explains how deadly they are...
In "Aliens", we meet the queen and we can see that she's large and in charge the way she signals off the lethal drone aliens ready to kill Ripley and the girl. Ellen Ripley's furor and hatred and the Queen's anger are so palpable in this scene.
Then, in "Alien: Resurrection", we see how intelligent the aliens really are. Three of them are in captivity, but they know the their acidic blood will burn through the floor of their prison. So, two of them gang up and kill the third so it's blood will burn through the floor and let them escape.
Hannibal in silence of the lambs. Anthony Hopkins was amazing in the movie.
My absolute favorite.
I love horror movies - even tho I tend to watch them between my fingers. 🤣
I don't have a favorite, tho.

Ellen Ripley
I referenced "Prometheus, as I know what you mean about Ellen Ripley in ALIEN, as it still gives me cold chills. The same theme is carried forward in Prometheus, and Noomie Rapace, plays the lead female role with Charlize Theron another lead character. Alien probably is more terrifying overall as I cannot remember another film using that kind of horror-Monster that the producers conjured up for the film
@Bricealan Alien is of the few horror movies that fully understood that true horror is in what you donโt know. It relies on the audience paying attention, and giving just enough information to keep you in the dark. Excellent start to a franchise that unfortunately went downhill almost as quickly as Terminator. Donโt think I actually watched Prometheus to be honest.

I am a huge fan of Bruce Campbell , Evil Dead is one of my favorite B Rated Horror Trilogyโs plus the series Ash vs Evil Dead was classic as well , I like a lot of horror movies though , Whether itโs B rated or a dark thriller , Gory etc those kind of movies grab my attention considering I am not much of a tv person , for me to sit in front of a tv it has to keep me entertained at all Times or I will pass out 10 to 20 minutes into the movie if it drags for to long lol I prefer Horror and comedy mainly I like oher categories as well but they have to keep me entertained or I will zonk out and not care if I missed the movie , more than likely my dream was better lol If I hear great things about a show or a movie from friends then I will eventually watch it if it catches my interest but other than that I barely watch tv anymore , I will put it on when I go to bed cuz usually it helps put me to sleep faster lol
There are so many to choose from. I am not a large fan of the slasher movies that started in the late 1970s. Honestly, I find them silly. How many different ways can you kill Jason or Michael only to have them back in the next movie? I am more of a fan of psychological thrillers like the one below.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/J1iSS5r0OVEPrometheus, is a Science Fiction-Horror movie with Noomie Rapace, that carries on the ALIEN theme.
Hannibal Lecter, the one from the series... not the movie

I like Billy Loomis from Scream but after I didn't watch many horror movies
Yes, It's Alive and Sssssss

I don't , I wish I did. The ones I've seen are too scary to enjoy.
It is a tie between Hannibal Lector (Silence of the Lambs) and Annie Wilkes (Misery).
I always liked the classics. Boris Karloff's Frankenstein or Lon Cheney's woflman.
Basically anything played by Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing.
Great ending to 1965's "Dr. Terror's House of Horrors".

Iโve never seen a horror movie. They look more gross than scary, and are infamous for scared characters having absolutely no logic.
I really don't like horror movies. But if I was forced to pick one it'd be Freddy Krueger. Because he was a positive role model for kids. He encouraged them to never stop dreaming. 😆😆😆
Probably that shape-shifting organism from The Thing. If there's anything I wouldn't want to encounter, that would be it.
