Who is your favorite horror movie monster?

The entity in Event Horizon with Laurence Fishburne. It's a great concept because they never actually show you the monster, only it's effects. It's an indescribable thing from another dimension that is not visible in a 3 dimensional world. That's leaves it completely in each viewer's minds. Even it's motivations are so alien the human characters in the film don't understand what's happening to them. Not a huge hit but pretty well written and produced.

I would agree here. Either that or the "monster" from anihilation.
I like the abstract horror. Nearly great old ones but these are hard to do in movies.

Yup Annihilation was another good one. They couldn't understand what they were dealing with. The audience was left (or allowed) to fill in the blanks with their own imaginations.

When I was little, the local hobby shop sponsored a contest for the best model monster. My parents bought me a Revell model kit of the Creature, and we watched the old B movie. I didn't win but I got an honorable mention.

I don't have a picture of my model (it was years ago) but here's what the Creature looked like. My model was similar, fun to assemble and paint.

I have always liked the Aliens in the Alien movies because it so sleek and agile and like animalistic just in the way it looks so you can believe it could easily kill people.
