"The Mummy" with Brandon Frasier is a lot of fun, w action and scary too. Lots of the old British Hammer films from the '50s with Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee as Dracula or Dr. Frankenstein and their "The Mummy" in gory color. Van Helsing, was good: lots of action, good CGI and Hugh Jackman! Yum. Bram Stoker's Dracula, with Gary Oldman chewing up the scenery! Almost hammy, but scary too. Except Keanu Reeves is awful and wooden. "Devil's Advocate," also Keanu, who again isn't very good, but others in the film are. Hammy Pacino, but still a great devil! "Village of the Damned," horror-sci fi. "Aliens". horror, sci-fi... "Daybreakers" w Sam Neill!/Ethan Hawke A real scare-fest! No one I know has seen it! "Penny Dreadful" also Ethan. Oddball, but scary. "Event Horizon"... not the best film, but undeniably creepy-scary horror sci fi. "A Nightmare on Elm Street": the original cast. "Poltergeist". "Jaws". Filmed version of the musical "Sweeney Todd". About a barber who kills people and with the aid of a baker chops them up into meat pies! Sondheim music. Great songs! And Cree- eepy!

There are many more, but these are my highlights!!!

  • That's a great choice! "Misery" is such an intense film. My favorite horror movie would have to be "The Shining." 🎃 The eerie atmosphere, Jack Nicholson's unforgettable performance, and the haunting isolation of the Overlook Hotel make it an absolute classic in the horror genre. It’s a masterpiece that always keeps me on edge! 📽️

I don't like horror movies at all, but I've seen too many of them. From childhood until I was 30/31. I don't anymore. I would say there are 3 movies that were scariest/kind of movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The Ring, The exorcism of Emily Rose, and... The Exorcist (this one traumatised me when I was in my early 20s).

It's been close to 6 years now i haven't watched TV or any movies.. but long time i used to watch my nephews and nieces on the weekends and they would want to watch horror movies. And they would try to get me to watch with them I never would

Because I'm an Empath and I would feel every thing going on in the movie even tho I new it's just a movie I dont want to feel that. Because maybe oneday in real life I might in a place that it could happen and I dont what to have felt that energy before I would want to take it on and have my own out come and it not going to be like in the movies lol

Misery is a good one , I like a lot of horror movies but the one that I consider my favorite will definitely be the Evil Dead movies and series with Bruce Campbell, it’s a mixture of horror comedy and gore , Bruce is the man lol

It's actually one of my favorite genres, so it's not easy to pick just one movie, I like many horror movies.

Nightmare On Elm Street, The Thing, Poltergeist, Halloween, The Craft, and many others.

A Nightmare on Elm Street. Freddy and much later, LeChiffre (Casino Royale) are two villains I can't help but to like. They are not psychos. They just know their games and are good at them.

Aliens & World War Z which I think is the best made zombie movie and it fits in the horror genre. But for Halloween horror specifically it would be the movie Halloween.

I don't like horror movies. If I had to pick one listed in the horror genre it'd be "the sixth sense". But even though it's listed as a horror movie I don't really consider it one.

Yes, The Ring is practically a scene for scene remake in English in some parts. But I find it hard to care enough about American actors and direction to feel scared... it all just feel's like a ride through Walt Disney's Haunted House.
