Do you sometimes use songs to indirectly send messages to people?

I've tried doing this with my family but they too dang thick headed 😂 and respond with something like "ah wait ik a song with a similar melody hold up lemme play it for u"

Yes I sometimes fail to find the right words to say that will convey exactly what I'm feeling or want to say. So in the past I have given a song titles in hopes that the person would listen to it and understand what it is that I'm trying to tell them. Sometimes it's something funny and other times it's more heartfelt.

Nah, I've never tried that before. I mainly listen to music for the tune. Though, I have recommended a song to a friend of mine when he as going through rough times with his gOrl.

Update 1: 😂 That's because people primarily listen to songs for the music aspect of it.

I will admit, a few years ago, I use to blast some songs that described how I was feeling at the moment. But to no avail. :')

Though, if someone did that to me extremely often I feel I'd start to pick up on their subliminal messages. Especially if the songs reflect their life in some way. It's still a risky way to get someone's attention. Most people won't piece the puzzles together.
