Have you ever sent someone a song as a way to communicate with them?

LMFAO yes. Sent her "Ramble On" by the mighty Led Zep on cassette with a note!! Good times!!

Leaves are falling all around
It's time I was on my way
Thanks to you I'm much obliged
For such a pleasant stay
But now it's time for me to go
The autumn moon lights my way
For now I smell the rain
And with it pain
And it's headed my way
Ah, sometimes I grow so tired
But I know I've got one thing I got to do
Ramble on
And now's the time, the time is now
To sing my song
I'm goin' 'round the world, I got to find my girl
On my way
I've been this way ten years to the day
Ramble on
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams
Got no time for spreadin' roots
The time has come to be gone
And thoough our health we drank a thousand times
It's time to ramble on
Ramble on
And now's the time, the time is now
To sing my song
I'm going 'round the world, I got to find my girl
On my way
I've been this way ten years to the day
I gotta ramble on
I gotta find the queen of all my dreams
I ain't tellin' no lie
Mine's a tale that can't be told
My freedom I hold dear
How years ago in days of old
When magic filled the air
'T was in the darkest depths of Mordor
I met a girl so fair
But Gollum, and the evil one
Crept up and slipped away with her
Her, her, yeah
Ain't nothing I can do, no
I guess I keep on rambling
I'm gonna, yeah, yeah, yeah
Sing my song (I gotta find my baby)
I gotta ramble on, sing my song
Gotta work my way around the world baby, baby
Ramble on, yeah
Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, my baby
Doo, doo, doo, doo
Doodoo doodoo doodoo doodoo doodoo
I gotta keep searching for my baby
(Baby, baby, baby, baby, baby, baby)
I gotta keep-a-searchin' for my baby
(My, my, my, my, my, my, my baby)
Yeah yeah, yeah yeah, yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
I can't find my bluebird
I listen to my bluebird sing
I can't find my bluebird
I keep rambling, baby
I keep rambling, baby
Lmao, I made an R&B mixtape of āmood musicā for a girlfriend in high school when we were going to have her place to ourselves for a weekend. Gave it to her early in hopes that itād fire her up😝
Pretty sure I had all of these on there, and Iām sure a few more, maybe doubling up on some of these artists, but this is a pretty good samplingā¦.
It all still holds up in 2025. Damn, was I ever smooth as a young gun😎😂
Truuuuuuuš„š„š„
Yes!! I do that a lot.
But I have to be careful and listen to all of the
words in the song first before sending it to someone.
Sometimes you might think that it's what you want the other person to know - then it turns out it's not what they want from you.
I learned that one the hard way and then I was so sorry that I sent it. I was too embarrassed to talk to him after that. But eventually we still spoke to each other.
I think that it made him believe that I wanted to be more than friends and he never looks at me as anything but his friend.
My bad!!🙊

I post on my snap with music to convey when I'm annoyed sometimes. As I don't want to rant and come across super negative. So it's a subtle hint. Recently No Respect by little Peep with the perfect lyrics "you got no respect, I got no loyalty". My way of saying I wait around for no guy if I feel disrespected.
As a relationship coach, I'll happily admit I've sent songsāand received them too! It's like sending a "musical hug." Music has this magical way of expressing feelings when words seem to fall short. But beware, it can also be a relationship red flag if youāre trying to say something serious and the other person doesnāt get the hint! 😂 Ever used a song to say, "Iām sorry," or dropped a breakup anthem instead of ghosting? It's all about the vibes, babe! 🎵ā¤ļø

I have but not as a substitute for saying something. But to compliment something I've already communicated myself.
Note: Guys are notoriously bad at communicating this way. It is not a good idea to use a song to tell a guy how you feel (however that may be). If you do, you need to tell him exactly what you mean by the song. Exactly what you want him to "hear" from that song. Spell it out for him or he won't get it. I know that sounds insane, but generally... guys really are terrible at this. He will be confused, and apt to misinterpret.
It's the only way, if you actually want to communicate a message clearly. š
Yes there are moments it time when everything is just right or just wrong . Either way it's a deep moment of truth. Or love . . But it's a moment if change. . And I need to express that some how
And with music a tone or a beat and Rhythm. You can express that feeling or emotion. So it can't be felt the way you might be feeling it
Yeah Iād we already have it as a frame of reference.
yeah, I did... many times...
but the funny thing is that people interpret it in different ways... for me the lyrics and the general message of the song are important... and some people i know don't care about lyrics at all... only the performance and music count...
oh there are songs with outstanding music and then I always say "just listen to it... the music is great" :D
I made a Doors mixtape for this girl I had a crush on in 11th grade. I can't remember the order of the songs, but I definitely made sure this one was on there. That was before the internet and before most people had cell phones besides rich lawyers and big shot executives.
nope...
when I send someone a song (and I do this a whole lot with everyone) I am just sharing songs that I like
if I want to communicate something to someone... then I do actually communicate that, to such someone... lol
I don't know that song...
actually... it seems to be a song

I'll sometimes write out the lyrics to a song I'm listening to. Some respond with the following lyrics. Others ask if I'm ok.
My ex and I made a playlist for each other on Spotify and throughout the day weād listen to the song we added and depending on how the playlist went we knew how we were gonna see each other after work.
It was fake though itās crazy Iāll reflect on moments like this or when heād write sticky notes for me and leave them all over the house before he left to work and beat my ass in the same week lmao
Diabolical lmao shoot even if you did cheat waking you up in the middle of the night wouldnāt have changed anything š¤£
Yes, kind of. I sometimes use parts of a song that suit the situation.
Most recent case as one example is "Numb" (Linkin Park)
Yepp. Rock music has a comment on next to everything in life. We just need to listen :)
That's one of the main ways I communicate with some people.
I don't think I have, but I feel like I' e been sent a few songs to communicate something.. 🤔🤔..
Well, I had somebody tag me with a song about being a player and her becoming one herself.. I don't know what the exact message was.. š¤..
I know.. The girl couldn't explain why she tagged me in it.. Felt like I had to slap her upside her pretty head or something.. š..
She Aiight.. Sorta, Kinda, maybe pretty-ish.. JK.. She fione.. Really cute face, very nice body, superb lips, beautiful hair.. š šššš..
Okay, I think her username on here is @7Phoenix7..
Ion know.. She might give you an unexplain song tag.. LOL.. Don't let her wonderful looks fool you.. Be careful with that one..
Why? We're just talking about this user @7Phoenix7.. Telling me to shut up on her behalf I see.. š¤
When my wife and I first started dating we live 300 miles apart. This was before email and video chat. We wrote letters to each other. Usually 2 or three a week. i used to seal the envelope and put a few lines of song lyrics on the back.
Kinda, told someone this song reminds me of you, and how i feel about you
Yea it's kind of like an indirect type of direct message, of how you feel
A guy once did, but didn't realise that until months later
I share music all the time with friends if that counts.
No but my ex did send me a pair of panties with the most seductive perfume and her scent⦠I think she wantsd me to fuck
Yes
My wife and girlfriends but they don't usually get the sense of it.
