He does some interesting things for sure. For instance, he plays with time, angles/POV, cliché ideas of masculinity, etc. But I don't like him or his movies. (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, his last, is a recent exception.) I think he has an adversarial relationship with the audience. (Not to mention, his actors, when he's directing them.) I think he's arrogant and has a superiority complex. He's not with us, he's against us, laughing all the way. And then he goes home by himself, and concocts another plan. The entertainment he creates is not for us, it's self-serving. But... he is a film enthusiast. He is legendary, for his encyclopedic knowledge of film. I just would never want to have a conversation with him about it. He's a ****.
Try Tentin Quarantino instead
Tarantino owned the red convertible 64 Chevelle Malibu in Pulp Fiction. Someone stole it, did a VIN swap, and it ended up getting sold to a car enthusiast in ratty condition, in what appeared to be a legit sale. The guy put like 20k and a ton of labor into restoring it before the police came and informed him the car was stolen and he had been defrauded. The guy didn't get a dime, or so much as a thank you from Mr Hollywood douchebag when he got the car back in pristine condition. Kind of sheds a light on what kind of human being he is.
Impossible to overrate his work and influence. If you watched Reservoir Dogs when it came out, and then Pulp Fiction, with an audience like we used to (gathering in theaters), he was doing something very different than what was in other movies and certainly what was on television. He treated audiences like they had some kind of brain in their head. In a given film he makes you laugh when you least expect it, and then in the next moment make you want to cover your eyes.

I think he's technically brilliant and a genius when it comes to dialogue as an art form in and of itself. My problem with his movies is that they usually have zero meaning behind them. I enjoy watching his movies as entertainment, and that's fine. But considering how brilliantly they're crafted and how brilliant the actors in them are, I'd wish they were more meaningful in their storytelling.
No, he makes interesting movies with the right amount of twists. Sure Nolan is better and Lynch have better psychological perception but still a top tier producer
Some of His movies are entertaining but honestly He does go way overboard on the violence.
Yes, to the max. If you look at his movies objectively they're both shit and based off other people's work. Like Reservoir Dogs was based on a Japanese movie called City of Fire.
Abso-fucking-lutely, and I just get the feeling he is a shit human being.
In what way?
absolutely not
