+1 yAbsolutely. I feel like some people need things suggested to them, like music for example, they love a song because it gets promoted heavily, while they might turn their noses up at another song because they didn’t first hear it on the radio or wherever people are finding their new music these days. Like they think, “everyone else likes this, so it must be good, and I should like it too.” Same applies to celebrities’ attractiveness. To be fair, you usually have to be somewhat presentable looking to make it in Hollywood, even “ugly” people are only “TV ugly”, so it’s not always a huge stretch, but I think people think “they’re a TV/movie star, this must be what good-looking looks like.”

I think people additionally kind of fall for characters they play rather than the actual person themselves, and that can add to the appeal.00 Reply

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yTo this day I still don't understand why people put celebrities up on this big gigantic pedastal when they're people just like us with a career. Treat them as you would anybody else afterall they're human too with feelings emotions who eat sleep breathe the same air etc. why treat them any different as you would anybody else?
a side note: i've seen some celebrities without their makeup on and let me tell you it's not a pretty picture one bit. look at savannah guthrie my god what a mess/disaster to look at same with hoda. kay adams to skinny with no breasts ass or thighs. but i also know one in particular who is extremely beautiful without makeup and totally rocks my world. her freckles her smile her sexy fucking thighs and ass but sometimes i just wish she sees herself the way God sees her... Also there's also women out there who are a plastic barbie dolls who also play dress up and show no real talent and skill (kylie jenner) every picture of hers is usually the same exact thing or same exact scenary or something just playing dressup around her house or somewhere once in a great while out in public. she doesn't show any real talent or skill at anything. then you have complete psycho loonatics like rose mcgowen or fake ass phony jerkoffs like reese witherspoon and amy schumer and carmen electra who never bother with certain people unless something incredibly big goes down then they finally acknowledge that person just to get a fucking career boost out of the whole thing which really pisses me off to no end (reese witherspoon has got to be the worst of them).00 Reply
+1 yI guess you can say that, in a way. I think it's because female celebrities usually wear a ton of makeup, stylish and expensive clothes, and their hair styled perfectly to look good for the cameras. Male celebrities tend to always have their facial hair well-groomed if they have it, their haircut very neatly, and wear stylish clothes for the camera. Sometimes, male celebrities even have fake hairlines, hair pieces, beard spray, and get hair transplants to remain looking good and youthful for the cameras. This is why they tend to look "better" than the average person because unlike us, we don't have cameras following us 24/7. Because most of us don't know celebrities personally, we don't see them when they're looking like an average person. We only see them in the media when they're made up to look their best. Then again, not every celebrity is attractive either. Some of them do resemble the average person, or look even worse, depending on the person. However, you also have average people that aren't celebrities that are absolutely beautiful.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yYeah and they only really look better than the average person because they have they money for surgeries.. just look 99.999999% of all of them have at least a nose job done, men included not just the women.. then all the other extra stuff alongside that
To top it off even the in motion actor/actress is filtered way before we were even introduced to filters in apps.. they had access to this way long ago and so it was not just photos in magazines being filtered altered and perfected but what we saw on tv is not how the person even looks
so aside all the surgeries and makeup they are still perfected even more behind the camera
most famous people would be average at best
thwres only few of them that were really good at the start and many normal people could easily be more attractive.00 Reply

That's pretty true.
In fairness, most of these 'stars' have 'good energy'. Good energy, self belief and confidence generally makes you look a point or two above any objective (if such things exist) physical assessment of attractiveness. Good energy and positively relating to your environment also help. We all know that cynical people want to retreat from the sickness of society, and people who are actively engaged in society, believe in their physical world, are often more abundant in health.
If you've 'made it' and are positively responded to socially, then that creates a feedback loop that just keeps giving. Your esteem rises and you give out more and more energy.
Attraction is an odd thing, anyway. Some of the things people find attractive is odd. There's one guy that women like, I can't remember his name, but he looks a bit like Shrek.
So yeah.00 Reply
+1 yIt's a given. Famous and rich raises people above the common rabble, so to speak, and many are very much attracted to some random asshole being glorified by the media.
Personally as soon as I hear the word "celebrity" I raise walls and shields. If there's somebody you should NEVER trust the opinion of, is somebody hauling from the showbiz.10 ReplyI never really pay attention to celebrities. But I will agree, I was never one of the girls to have a “celebrity crush” I just thought it was whatever. I couldn’t imagine liking someone that I didn’t know that much. Plus a lot of these celebrities are not that attractive.

+1 yMight be. Just look at a lot of female celebrities that we men consider the hottest. Natalie Portman, Mila kulnis, hayden Patterson, Arianna Grande, Megan fox, Jennifer Lawrence etc most of whom are average or just above average in terms of looks, fame puts the pussy on a pedestal.
00 ReplyYes. I look at all the celebrities I find attractive and all the women I know that I find attractive and I see no difference. They are both women. They are both attractive. The celebrities just wear makeup all the time, wear it better because they have others do it for them, and can afford better clothes.

+1 yYES! There a few that are absoluly stunning.
I think fame makes some people covert a person more.
If you give the average person access to time, money and professionals most people would look so much better than they do. Just look at all those wedding photos. Being famous is like it's you wedding day once a week every week.00 Reply
+1 yI agree. Personally I see non-celebrity women all the time who I find way more attractive than any celebrity women out there. I've also met a few celebrities in person and was shocked to see they looked nothing like their public image. They are just ordinary people with certain skills that allow them to be in the spotlight.

+1 ySo the answer is in this question:
Why does the "most sexiest man alive", "most beautiful woman alive", "50 hottest women on the planet" etc have to be picked from celebreties? Conversely, if they are picked from a bunch of celebrities, why are they termed as such as if the non-celebrety communy are all irrelevant?10 Reply
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yI believe it's the opposite. If they weren't so attractive, they wouldn't get to be celebrities. Although their money does afford them the extra time to put into being healthy, fit, have nice clothes, skin care routines, haircuts, etc, which does help them to be even more attractive.

+1 yIt’s weird but true... I remember long ago this girl I knew was going on and on about how “fine Steven Tyler was.” And I told her it was just because he was a rock star. She denied it. So I said, “If that man were handing you your change back at McDonalds and asking you if you wanted an apple pie with your order, I seriously doubt you would say the same thing.”
She still denied it... Liar... Haha!00 ReplyYes, because the most attractive thing to most women is status.
That is more attractive than looks and that's why high valued men are always sought after. Thats why wherever the most powerful and wealthy men gather, beautiful women flock to.00 Reply- 5.1K opinions shared on Entertainment & Arts topic.
m +1 yCelebrities are more attractive precisely because they are celebrated yes, this is the norm, and it is also kind of the point of being a celebrity, to be attractive to the audiences in every or many was possible.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yCelebrities job are to be attractive or different looking.
So it would make sense if they picking the best looking of the best looking. Compared to the average or slightly above.
There's also a thing with people being star-struck and crowd opinion-shaping.00 ReplyA lot of celebrities have professional make up artists and stylists I have seen enough of them away from the tv where they look normal and for the most part there is nothing different looks wise from them to everyone else.
00 ReplyYep. Muppets that like to be part of a flock idolize people that do stupid things like put a ball through a net, lie about who they are on camera, or wear over priced clothes.

+1 yYes, I do. I have been saying it for a long time, although there are some exceptions that really are as cute/beautiful as people say but even then the world is so big
00 Reply There are many celebrities whom I do not consider attractive.
In many cases their fame is because they are powerful or influential.00 ReplyVery true.. I think it works more on us than on guys though looking at their comments.. I mean they do only care about looks after all

+1 yAbsolutely. A lot of celebrities are very average. Then there's gods like Thor and Gal Gadot that are just super attractive models
02 Reply ok, you're expecting to tell me that channing tatum is not attractive? get the hell outta here.

+1 yIt’s their social status, yes.
We humans are very social creatures, so dating or the thought of being with someone that is known by many is naturally attractive00 Reply
+1 yI believe a celebrity doesn't need to be good looking to be a celebrity... Not all celebrities are Mila Kunis and Brad pitt as there would be no Rick Bobby's side kick John C. Reilly's around to make us laugh. Lol
00 ReplyAbsolutely! There are guys who look just average who people say are hot bc they are famous
00 ReplyYeah, for sure. I’ve seen some celebrities in person and they look just like normal people.
00 ReplyOf course, if Adam driver wasn't famous no one would think he was attractive (he's still a fantastic actor of course). There are many other examples but thats an obvious one.

+1 yThat is true, they also have makeup artists and they have plenty of money to look as good as they want. so they have an unfair advantage than most of us do to begin with.

+1 yNo, they really are, that's why they're celebrities. But the whole worship and comparo shtick is a giant fail. They're still just regular people.
00 ReplyI believe a lot of celebrities only succeed because of their looks.
Some pop stars and actors made it not because they are more talented than others, but because they are more beautiful.00 ReplyDefinitely. People are weirdly enticed by fame. It sucks when you actually have it though.

+1 yi think they are famous cause they are more attractive than average in the first place xD
10 Reply I think celebrities are just like normal nothing special but they get better secret products that’s a fact like Donald trump for example when he got Covid 19 and gets better treatment then anybody else I think life is a mystery and full of secrets
00 ReplyIt's true. But a part of their attractiveness comes from the confidence they carry themselves which is generally more than the average Joe.

+1 yThat is not true at all. Ariana Grande would still be super sexy if she was not a celebrity. We just would not know who she is on a national scale.
14 Reply- +1 y
Don't be sexist now. This has nothing to do with make up. It has to do with nationally exposure.

Yes, But the statement clearly is about whether a celebrity would receive the same amount of attention if they were not famous. I am sticking to the facts.
Atrractive, no but when celebrities let their hair and beards grow and they mix with each other, they are not seen as dirty, homeless drunkard. While someone who is not famous will be seen so.
00 Reply1K opinions shared on Entertainment & Arts topic. There are celebrities with ugly looks. Their celebrity status can only help so much.
10 ReplyYes. The celeb status makes appearance and even basic human behavior and skills like cooking or parking, amazing features and skills.

+1 yYeah definitely, I mean look at Ed Sheeran, he even said it himself in an intervie. When he was asked what he'd be if he wasn't a famous musician he said "A virgin"

+1 yNo. They are famous because they are beautiful and went into acting , not the other way around
00 ReplyYes but also because they present themselves in a good light, ie well dressed and groomed,,,

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yI think that is true but mainly of women. Celebrity status and power are things that hold a great deal of power over women. Not so much for men.
