A New zealand youtube channel was able to make an epic 35 minute movie with some of the best CGI ever with a budget of 100 USD. Meanwhile, hollywood movies would splurge out 100 million_ dollars to make equivalent to it.

Actors. Most of them are being paid several million dollars each.

Plus, big Hollywood movies are usually at least 3x as long, film in several locations using specially designed set pieces. You have to hire crews, rent equipment, and piece together a 90-120 minute movie from hours of footage. Plus you have to get things like vehicles, costumes, and housing for the cast and crew, then pay even more people to manage all those things. Then you have to market the film.

VLDL was able to do Baelin's Route so cheap because they already had all that stuff on hand from their Epic NPC Guy series, so they could devote more time and money to refining the effects and CGI.

you got a big crew thats want to be paid,

Equipment, lights, camera, ...

sometimes you need to pay for the license, eg paying JK Rowling for the rights to the Harry Potter Franchise.

Renting locations

Flying across the globe.

And yes you can make a movie without a huge budget, but the youtube channel is still a hobby, they worked without pay, they didn't hire, some big names like Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie,...
