The "Best" Female Vocalist is a matter of opinion. There are measurable attributes like vocal octave range, but that's not going to resolve the argument of "who IS the best" or even "who you LIKE best".

For example, I don't really like either Sarah Connor or Lara Fabian enough to seek out their music, but they're pleasant enough to listen to if they come on the radio. Nor do I think Beyonce or Ariana Grande should even be mentioned in the same category of vocalist as Whitney, Celine (don't like her music, can't deny the voice), or Mariah Carey. Christina is a great pop singer, really great, much better voice than Beyonce.

Singers like Kate Bush, Sarah McLachlan, Barbra Streisand, Basia were all much more impressive in their day from a straight vocal standpoint, in my opinion. On the other hand, many critics will say that none of them compare to the great opera singers of the world anyway when it comes to pure vocals, and they do have a point.

I like to sing a lot. My vocal range is C3-B7.
Since you mentioned about the vocal range I am curious if you're a vocal coach. I'd like to ask you if it's possible to expand my vocal range.

I'm not a vocal coach, nor do I have wide ranging voice. A lot of singers get mentioned as "diva's" because they're popular or well-liked, but I'd never think of them as being "the Best". I find Sarah's voice to be a bit thin and breathy, lacking some fullness. I compare her to Sara Bareilles, who has a similar voice but with more depth.

Thin? I think it's thick. I'd say Taylor Swift's voice is thin/airy but not hers.
I think Sarah's voice would be more beautiful if it was a little girlish.
And why don't you like Celine's songs? I love most of her ballads.

And as they say, "that's what makes horse races " (differences of opinions). I don't find much depth in Sarah Connor's vocals. I don't like Celine's material because her ballads just "drip all over you". They're total "chick songs". But as I said, I respect her voice and her talent.

I really like the first girl, even though she flutters too much. She has a great voice. It's very pure.

I didn't like the second girl as much. Even though she has near-perfect vocal tone, her voice is too airy and nasally.
