I'm not famous, but I do have content up for free. Then if they want extra stuff, I charge for it. And people are really willing to pay! But first I give them a preview of what they'd be getting. And that could be like a literal preview, or if it's pretty straightforward, then I'd just list what they'd be getting. I notice that's how ya really reel em in.
And of course, it can vary from type of content. But if you're going to charge, don't make the price outrageously high.
For instance, Jim Can't Swim has a Patreon that only charged $1 a month per person and at one point, they had at least something like 30k people subbed.
And for the limited time stuff, It can really be effective when used correctly! Fake price drops are another easy thing that's effective. Like make the price something crazy but believable but then drop it down to the price you actually wanted it to be. And something people would really be willing to pay for.

i look at this way.
i'm an English guy living in Egypt. The pricing structure here is very odd. The Egyptian Museum in Cairo charges about 15 to 20 dollars for foreigners and 2 dollars for the locals. That annoys me hugely. Though I get it, Many Egyptians live below the poverty line, and it's their history, so why not right?
But I also think that 25 dollars are too much to pay for something I have never seen and have no real idea of what's inside. I am certain that I will though, more likely, give a huge donation on my way out if I wasn't charged such a large entry fee. But since donations are also expected ON TOP of your entry fee it gets far too much.
if I was charging for content, I would keep the price low, or free. Odds are you'll get more in contributions if the content is good and meaningful to the viewer.
The idea of charging someone for pointless content is all kinds of disgusting and predatory to me. It's why I can't stand BS like OnlyFans, which is nothing more than Instagram for Losers. If people wanted to donate money, I'd open a Patreon or something, but I wouldn't have people pay me money to see social media BS like an e-whore. My dignity matters more than a paycheck.
Depends on what my content is?
I don't care much about money tho so if i was gonna capitalize on my content i would only use that money to really fund myself just not having to work and the rest of the money can go to charity or stuff that is paid can get cheaper due to me not needing that much money.
Free for basic things: such as me posting memes or random pictures of me and different aspects of my life online.
Then have them pay for extra benefits (like live videos or chats with me).
... no I'm not being greedy.
If I'm having to put effort into talking to people I barely know, or showing them my ugly mug, someone better pay me, LOL
I'm an online pirate.
'Crack' and torrents are some of my best friends :)
If I can get something (that I want) for free = I will.
If I have to pay or to 'sign up' = I'm out.
My interpretation of copyright is: ''I have the right to copy - when I can''
Likewise, I'll only openly post stuff that's free for others, too.
Really doesn't matter, in this day and age once a few people buy it they can distribute it for free or they charge for it. I mean with all the piracy going on I am surprised celebrities are still rich. I mean music and movies depend on the consumer to buy the content which goes towards the production costs and what the celebrities get royalties off of. The interest helps and hurts in a lot of ways.
Isn't all social media free? It's not porn.
I thought sharing free content was sort of the whole thing about it.
Do you know of any celebrities who post stuff about themselves (not writing, teachings, etc.) not for free?
Free and get my revenue from advertising like Facebook and Instagram do
For free, because who pays to see someone’s social media content?
Some free and some charge. It's a smart tactic to do it like that.
If id turn that into passion then id let them pay. Its business
I wouldn't want to become famous in the first place and i'm a Leo!

I guess it'd depend on what the content was.
