Of course not!! In the first place, it's coming back and, secondly, some of those old slabs are worth a shitload of money, now!! I should know, I've got about 54,000 records in my collection. I recently found out a certain pressing of Led Zeppelin II is worth a few thousand dollars! I've got an Elephants Memory single that's worth at least $50! I paid 25 cents for it a few years ago!!

Not if you like them but if you are doing it as an investment I would urge you to learn as much about them and their prices before you buy. Buy entire collections if you can as you usually will get a good deal that way and then sell off the ones you don't like. Unfortunately there were billions of vinyl records pressed and so only certain ones have any real value. For example I have two of everything the Beatles ever recorded including their White Album which his valuable. One of everything is kept as a collectible and are all still in their original wrappers. The others I have to play from time to time.

I once had a good number of them.
The details I remember MOST about them are that they tended to be vulnerable to scratches and dust noises.
Thinking about the sound quality of my music, they are indeed a waste; electronic storage is a lot better.
What I somehow miss is the 'artwork' on the covers.
As a nostalgic collector's item: vinyls can have a certain monetary value.

Not a waste of money but they're pricey because they sell in relatively small numbers. They're fine if you want to listen at home but you can't really play them in the car. Sound quality is probably better than CDs because it's not ultra-compressed. There are some really nice coloured vinyls out there too.

Definitely not. I still have some my grandparents gave me, Dion & the Belmonts, Carl Perkins, Chuck Berry, Rosie & the Originals, The Danleers, Little Anthony I could go on forever, lol. I think I'll put one on now:)
