Bored so I'm creating a fun poll!

Off the top of my head I'd probably say dragon, since they inspire the best art, but that may just be due to exposure. Also, the Chinese ones have mustaches, which earns them some bonus points. But I think instead I'll toss out some less-popular ones that others might not've heard of. Here's the Persian Simurgh:

And an honorable mention to the allocamelus; it's not a particularly interesting creature, but it DOES give you a perfectly legitimate excuse to use the phrase "ass-camel", and few things can boast as much. Oh, and one more:

"But Namer!" You say. "Giraffes aren't mythical!". No, they're not. But if you go to the zoo and watch one for half an hour or so, you'll start questioning that. Anything that becomes HARDER to believe in when you see it has to be worth noting.

My mythical creature is probably an abominable snow woman. I've been to the South Pole of Antarctica five times in my life and it's extremely cold down there. Everything freezes in an instant, I left my soap near the window and then 30 minutes later my soap was hard as a rock, I tossed my soap at the wall and it shattered into pieces. Don't get me wrong I like the cold, but the cold down there it's like death cold. There's some nice places in Antarctica but you got be completely crazy to take a trip down there. I tell people I've been to Antarctica, and there's an abominable snow woman down there waiting for me to come back and drop the frozen soap. That's how cold it is down there.

It really depends, dragons, unicorns, werewolves but not like the shiny teen drama type, the feral angry type.

Ok but really, if we're being appropriate I want a Bakekujira... maybe a Kludde, sleipnir, a Hound of Tindalos if that counts... Nuckelavee? that'd spook a lot of people for real...

I dunno, I kinda wanted to say something different just to be contrary but nothing is really coming to mind.

I did consider the Unicorn as that would unquestionably be an extremely powerful chick magnet, though I rather suspect that as is the case with dogs, they are only interested in the animal.

Also I think i am too fat to ride a unicorn and the only thing worse than being both mobbed and snubbed when all you really want is to get to the shop for bread and milk would be all the booing and hissing and inevitable 'rescuing' (aka stealing) of my now broken mount.

Perhaps I will just stick with my car, I know where I am with that and it doesn't shit itself to death when things get squirrely.

It was difficult for me to pick between Dragon and Phoenix. I went with dragon because I loved Saphira in Eragon (the book, not the disgrace of a movie that should never be discussed). I like dragons because they are tough, free, fierce and wise. I like phoenixes because they rise again no matter what shit life throws at them.
