Was anyone else dissatisfied with how Cersei died in Game of Thrones?

I think she deserved a more horrible Death than being killed by falling rocks with her brother and lover. She was the biggest villain and it was a very unsatisfactory death in my opinion.

GRRM likes to make things more realistic. Before the dragons at the end of book 1 there was almost nothing of fantasy in the book. Fact is villains don't always die in a way you prefer, sometimes it seems too mundane or merciful. That's life. It's similar to how WoT ended. Not everyone liked how characters ended. Most felt that it was unfinished.

That's always been an issue with me: I want villains to get endings that are very satisfying. It takes special restraint to not have them die that way.

Just an example from my own repertoire of not being able to resist the urge to pursue catharsis:

- Markus Mortikus: Killed by having his guts sliced open, the same way he threatened to do to Zeras.
- Clarence Felick: Defenestrated, among other things. Serves him right for threatening to give AIDS to everyone he didn't like.
- Eqquibus: Killed Hea Pang's boyfriend. Gets his own heart ripped out by the Gray Champion, in a literal fashion.
- Chillingworth: Destroyed by his own gauntlets
- Nematode: Extirpon learns how to partially control his own anger; but she can't keep her pride and vanity in check. Ripped apart by thorns and incinerated by purple fire. After the two beings threw stuff at each other, tried to bleed each other to death, and nearly destroyed St. Louis.
- Sheriff Estahm: ripped to pieces by Krampus. 'Nuff said.
- Pele: Imprisoned in the Bootes Void, inside the Penditulum once constructed to hold Cherinob. About the only worse fate, would be to be sent directly back to Hell.
- Scott Morrisson: Thrown into the ground, crushed, and blown up by a self-detonating Pilltar. He somehow still survives just long enough to scream incoherent curses at the heroes, before giving up the ghost.
- Kai Yun: After being ungrateful for Zize sparing his life after all he did, he comes at her for one last taunt and attempt on her life. He just can't let go of his obsession with controlling her. She empties the entire clip into his skull.
- Pencil: Shot and incinerated by the Purge-Flare, for being a pedophile.

- Judge Terry Beliah: Extirpon literally drops the Titanic on him.

And that's only a partial list!

- Bert Mongale: Caught with an entire plane full of child snuff porn. Gets three consecutive life sentences, and shanked to death.
- Clyde Spendelworth: Beaten bloody, defenestrated, shot, and incinerated by the Purge-Flare, while Extirpon and the Gray Champion stand by and watch.
- Drop-In: Incinerated by Flintirah, after she finally gains the upperhand. Did I mention he'd previously raped her, and tried to kill Candi?
- Korsicht: Stripped of the Heart of Pele necklace, stung and poisoned by Ciem, electrocuted by the Gray Champion. He literally is responsible for 80,000+ deaths in Louisville and Cincinnati, and unleashed the Anito Squad on a juvenile prison to kill everyone inside - mostly just for fun! The Anitos were basically like the zombies in World War Z.
- Quoll: After TWO Ciems fight him, the only movie he gets to star in, is his own death. He'd previously planted his traps across Gerosha, in the hopes of filming random individuals falling in and dying. And fancied himself an esteemed director. Like Mysterio and Jigsaw raised a baby together.
- Haikili: loses a fight to Perchta, after humiliating Kamohoalii.
- Kamapua'a: chainsawed by Jerry the Psycho Reindeer, after a skirmish with Anarteq softens him up.

Yeah, that's how I roll.

I hear a lot of people hate her whatever I’m glad I didn’t watch the show. I never got into it. Maybe she didn’t get a bad death but she had to walk naked across the town that was a decent punishment

Considering that Maggy the Frog prophesized that she would have the life choked from her by the valonqar... yes I was super disappointed. The show even visually hinted at understanding the prophecy by showing Cersei and Jaimie standing on a map of Westeros standing on the Neck and the Fingers... Only for her to die by some falling bricks
