I grew up in a town with a lot of rich people and some famous people. The rich people hated nothing more than the famous. The famous introduced unneeded, unwanted, and unpleasant attention. Most of the time, the famous seek attention because they want to remain the center of attention if they weren't relevant they weren't famous. They also assumed that everyone else covets their spotlight and were; therefore, suspicious of everyone.

The rich were often unhappy and the famous were also often unhappy. The pursuit of happiness isn't fulfilled by wealth or fame but by achieving your goals as an individual.

The wealthy were pleased by their successes and accomplishments, terrified about not being able to continue their success and the responsibilities that come as a byproduct of success, and saddened by the sacrifices in their personal relationships needed to reach their success and the subsequent loneliness.

I am pretty sure the famous usually didn't feel anything. They went through life so medicated and intoxicated that I'd be surprised if their emotions even registered anymore. They also tended to hurt those around them rather than being lonely and isolated. They hurt or killed themselves and others by crashing their cars, going to rehab, overdosing, or by getting caught up in crimes of passion.

Overall, the happiest people were those who loved their jobs, worked hard at work and at home, maintained a close circle of family and friends, married someone from a similar upbringing based on character, and ignored the attention, demands, and opinions of those outside their circle. Just like anybody else.

This is one of those questions I generally ignore. But, decided to answer. Are we talking about Jeff Bezos kind of wealth or somebody that has over 6 figures in the bank? I would also like to add society has run off the rails with this stuff. It seems it has devolved into a "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" type of place where having vast wealth is the answer to all problems. Trust me! It's NOT! My net worth is not something I will get too deep into online. Let's just say I am secure! Barring Covid restrictions I could buy an Airline Ticket and go spend months relaxing on some tropical beach if I desired. In all honesty, my answer to this question is NEITHER! I want enough money to be able to live comfortably in peace and not have to be constantly awake at night worrying about who is trying to take my money!

1. You cannot bring your current personality into a new personal reality. This means most of you would lose all your richest like lotto winners do and even while you have the money you'd still be lame ol' you. I assume, though, the asker is saying that if you choose riches then, you who also be the person who would naturally be deserving of that money; instead of you.

2. Famous can get you very rich. Ex: Kylie Jenner or Kanye West. She started a company after being famous and went to Billionaire status.

3. Since we do not know what the asker meant, it is safe to say that FAMOUS is the safest answer to choose.

I'd rather be rich, being able to do hobbies i enjoy without worrying about budget, live in my own custom home (kinda looks like a hobbit house built into a tall hill, but suped up with renewable energy, a garden using the hilled slope as an aquifer to water said garden easily and the inside is like a corn silo, sunk into the ground with Multiple floors and a drainage setup in every floor) and decent amount of land (2-4 acres).

Being famous is overrated. People would be stalking me, i would have no privacy, creepy fans wouldn't leave me alone or would be trying to steal my used stuff... no, thanks.

I'd rather be a rich person unknown to the general public than to be a famous person who has to deal with paparazzi and other things like that, I'd find that to be very unpleasant and the likelihood of getting any sort of privacy is not certain if you are famous.

I guess rich, but even then, I don't want to be like a billionaire or anything. That much money comes with problems and responsibilities lol. People you don't even know popping up out of the woodwork wanting money. But I have zero desire to be famous.

Honestly neither. Being rich won't make me happy because I don't need much to be real and happy. Sure I'd travel and experience different people and cultures but when i go "Home" I'll be happy to lay in my own bed. If i was famous i be so damn irritated because I don't have to nor want to answer to people for their entertainment.. it goes hand in hand. God bless.

Seems to be annoying to be famous and a lot of people will talk about your life, not knowing what is true and what isn't. Talking smack about you, for almost everything you do. Not having any privacy.
Yeah, I would rather be rich.

But truthfully, I would prefer to just have enough money so it's not a problem in my life. So I can live comfortably.

Fame comes at the cost of privacy so big NO for me. If I were rich I could lots of things for me and society like building schools, hospitals and most importantly work for accessible drinking water and food for all. For me I could adopt dogs and a nice cosy 3BHK for family. Just it.

If I was famous for the importance of my work, I would choose it over being rich. I would prefer being a highly respected artist or scientist than being amongst the world's richest people and everybody viewing me as Mr. Money (a. k. a. "the guy we all expect to spend his fortune in us"). I 'd prefer being the designer of a supercar than its' driver, or the painter of a famous painting than the guy who has it in his collection.

I rather be rich cause if Im being rich and not famous I can spend my money they way I wanted without being recognized that I have money and I can go incognito and not be under the stress of beign recognized. If you are famous you are going to be chased and stalked everywhere you go and people may not leave you alone, you can't go on hiding cause possible you be recognized where you go and that is so stressful
