Strong female character I like: Wonder Woman, from the DC comics and animation prior to the 2010s. But not because she's physically strong. But because her whole deal is being a protector and inspiring others. I don't like Gal Gadot, but her Wonder Woman said something like "The only reason to rise above others is so you can give them a helping hand on the way up." And that just hit me. I was like, YES! THAT is what a f*cking hero says and does! It's so inspirational and true.

"Strong" female character I detest: Any feminist Mary Sue made within the last five years, like Kevin Smith Teela, Rey Skywalker, or Abby from The Last of Us 2. They are not strong and they are barely female. They are literally just toxic "pseudo Alpha Males" in female bodies, and they're not fooling anyone.

Amanda Waller from DC Comics. She doesn't have any super powers like Super Girl or Wonder Woman and she doesn't have a wealth of Bruce Wayne or Lex Luthor. But, what she has is an immense amount of power and influence over Top Secret U. S. Military projects, over U. S. Congress and The White House.

String female characters I like are Katniss Everdeen from the hunger games, Teresa Mendoza in Queen of the South, her villain and occasional ally, Camille, who though evil, is capable of extreme selflessness towards her family and occasionally towards strangers as well, Brenda from Queen of the South who uses her brain to survive even when she has no connections or power to get her started, and gunpowder milkshake characters, which is about a bunch of intellectual heroines who risk their lives to save a young girl and defend each other against corporate criminals.

Winery Rockbell (Fullmetal alchemist) woman in a technical field, world renown. Best in her field in her country.

Myne (ascendence of a bookworm) triggers the equivalent of the Renaissance in her new world because all she wants is to read books.

Sumeragi Lee Noriega (gundam00). Takes on the world's militaries with only 4 units for her (admittedly they are overpowered) her strategies and predictions more often than not result in victory.

And Tessa Thompson's portrayal of Delores/Charlotte Hale in Westworld just left me speechless.

I liked the woman from Queen’s Gambit. She was an excellent actress and played the part very well, including the drunken sad version of the character. She was believable and didn’t overplay it. She had a certain hotness to her too, not sex kitten, whorish or barely dressed but still intriguing and put a hook in me a little. She reminds a little of Scarlett Johansson come to think of it.
