Who do you think are some of the biggest a--holes in music history?

My pick would be Ike Turner and Jerry Lee Lewis. Ike was just an asshole and abuser in general and Jerry Lee was a cocky ass

The time I met (or TRIED to meet) Devo, they weren't very friendly! We were just waiting at the stage door for autographs. There was only about 8 of us by the time they finally came out and, one of them signed one autograph and then they all shoved through the tiny crowd and wouldn't even talk to us!
Todd Rundgren can be a bit of an ass, too! I don't know what his problem is but, every time he sees me, he avoids me like the plague or I'll catch him staring at me from the stage! I have a feeling it's because I kinda, sorta look like him. Two nights in a row, I was helping to run sound at his gigs and during one of those nights, he was sitting right beside me for about 5:00 and never looked at me or said a word to me!! The second night, he was doing his With A Twist gig and, in the instrumental section of one song, decided to stand up on a swivel stool he'd been sitting on and it looked like he was about to fart into the mic and then he fell off the stool!! So far, that was the last time I ever saw him. I've also heard that XTC used to make fun of him while they were recording "Skylarking" at his Woodstock studio. While in rehearsals before the recording started, if they saw him leaving his house for the studio, they'd start playing The Munsters theme until he walked in the door. They noticed that the album didn't sound quite right and they weren't thrilled with it and then, years later, someone discovered that Todd had the system wired up wrong and that's why the album sounded that way! They've since remixed the album, or what have you, so it sounds the way it SHOULD sound.
I'm sure there are others but I'd have to recall. I've met a lot of them.
Rick Nielsen seems to be pissed at me, now! Nearest I can figure, it was just because I called up his parents once and had a nice chat with them about their days in the recording world. I said nothing at all bad to them, I was just asking about the records they made to see if I might've had any of them in my collection. And I only called the one time! Next time I saw Rick, a couple years later, he wanted nothing to do with me!

Sebastian Bach. Narcissistic asshole who treats interviewers like shit. Once threw a fit because an interviewer read out his birth name that's posted on Wikipedia.

Simon Cowell. Single handedly ruined music by making it a formula where appearance and media presence are the most important thing, rather than being the result of talent or inspiration. Think about it - if people like Bob Dylan, Bob Marley or Jimi Hendrix were 18 right now, they'd never make it in the music industry today - because their voice and talent don't fit neatly into a Cowell styled musical act.

Well, just from personal experience, Yo Gotti was probably the hardest to work with. He did a show in my area some years ago, only performed for 3 minutes. The gig was a few Gs, but he demanded that it be paid in cash immediately after his time was up on-stage so he could “go to the strip club afterwards.” What the man does with his money is his business, but the big stink he made about it was unprofessional and made people scramble when it could’ve been planned ahead of time…since he didn’t tell the staff til the day of the event that he would only take cash.

There are plenty of waaaaay bigger jerks out there doing way meaner stuff, but this was one I experienced and it just rubbed everyone the wrong way. Though, I’ll give him credit. I’m glad he still did the show.

She is essentially race baiting for money and that's disgusting. She is changing her appearance like a chameleon for different countries in retrospect of what racial image will sell better and I find that completely disgusting.. It definitely looks like she got the eye lifting surgery and/or uses makeup to create the shape of an Asian person’s eyes. It’s annoying, I don’t see why she can’t just be herself.

I don't really follow them that much, but I don't like Miley Cyrus always sticking her tongue out. Ann Wilson (Heart) said in her book that John Mellencamp was actually known as 'the little asshole', and he boasted a lot. Ann Wilson also said that The Marshall Tucker Band were assholes who would pull the plug and run off other groups on a stage so that THEY could take the stage.
